Location
Thandi Beri is a forest lodge located at a distance of 23 km
from Mana Ranakpur. One has to exit the highway at Ghanerao
after 15 km from Mana Ranakpur and then traverse a 'kuccha'
road to reach the destination. Permission from the forest
department has to be secured to enter this area and Mana
Hotels will do the needful in this matter.
We take extra efforts to ensure no degradation of any type

About the Tour
Located 50km from Mana Ranakpur is the imposing Jawai
‘bandh’ (dam). Built by Maharaja Umaid Singh of Jodhpur in
1957, this dam is the main source of water supply to Jodhpur
city and other parts of Pali District. Jawai Dam is the largest
dam in Western Rajasthan.
Apart from being a visual spectacle, this area is a paradise for
migratory birds. If the guests are lucky, they may also spot

The vegetables market is an environment not controlled by Mana
Hotels. Although we make efforts to ensure cleanliness at the market,
it is not always possible.
Sadri, the quaint little town located 8 km from Mana Hotels Ranakpur
plays host to a daily vegetable market . The farmers start assembling
at the main ‘chowk’ (intersection) by 4:30 a.m. The produce from their
farms are displayed and buyers from the area come to purchase the
vegetables for their use. This market is for locals primarily and
majority of the purchases are in bulk to avail better rates
Mana Hotels would like to give its guests a feel of this local market.
We will let the guests pick out vegetable of their own choice,
negotiate with the vendors and also purchase the material. All of this
would be done under the care and supervision of the staff from Mana
Hotels. Not just this, if the guests want, Mana Hotels will conduct a
cooking class wherein the guests can learn how to prepare dishes out

4:10 p.m. Arrive at Ranakpur Arogyadham - venue for the herbal tour
4:15 p.m. Commence walk around the farm with an expert. During
the tour, the different medicinal plants will be shown to the

5:15 p.m. After the walk around the farm, a short beginner level Yoga

Located about 2 hours from Mana Hotels in Ranakpur, is a wonderful
hidden train journey. Originating from Phulad station and terminating at
Khambli Ghat station, this 1.5 hour journey gives the passengers a peak into
the history of this area aside from offering great views of the Aravallis. If
you are lucky, you may even spot some wildlife such as Langoors, Peacocks
and Deer's.
This is a meter gauge line and also one of the highest tracks in the western
railway system of India. The landscape is dramatic and does not stay
constant. There is a good mix of steep hills, flowing water and plains. All in
all a picturesque journey through a relatively unexplored part of Rajasthan.

“Tanne Ki Naal”. Since this route is located in the Kumbhalgarh –

Rural School Visit

Located 31 kms from Mana Hotel Ranakpur, is the first golden temple
built by the Jain Community in India.
The main specialty of the temple is that its entire structure, including
all the walls, roofs, pillars, doors, windows, steps, domes and shikhar
are all painted with a thick layer of gold. It is said that the women
from Jain families of the surrounding areas, spared their gold
ornaments and donated the same to temple authorities for
construction of this golden temple

The Raikas, which are also known as Rabaris, are the largest
pastoralists or specialized camel breeding tribe existing in
western Rajasthan. Raika’s take pride in the fact that for them
camel breeding is not just business but their heritage. Mana
Hotels has identified a Raika household not too far from the hotel
where the guests can observe their way of life. It is located 8 km
from Mana and takes about 20 minutes by a small car/jeep.
Although their way of life of still very basic, signs of modern day
life are creeping in. This is probably an inevitable adjustment that
