2. PLANNING LAST YEAR…
•
Planning last year was a lot different to this year in a sense that it was
much less intense (maybe because I didn’t do as much work) but I feel
as though there was much less to do as, what proves this is the fact
that I almost have as many blog posts than I did at the end of last years
project, and its only October. Planning consisted of the same kind of
things as this year but almost half as less. For example last year we
didn’t need to create an animatic or incorporate social networking sites
into our project.
3. THIS YEAR…
Planning this year has been much more intense than last year as
we’ve had to cover every single thing relating to our video:
• Production schedule
• Research into the artist
• Loaaaaads of costume preparation
• Relating other videos to ours
• Social media
• Incorporation of synergy
• Animatic
Etc…
4. …

In relation to these features of preparation, I’ve enjoyed them much
more as I find making a music video much more fulfilling than an
opening to a thriller film, in a sense that we can experiment much more
with editing and shot types and its just and overall more enjoyable
project.

I think what also makes me feel this is because in my opinion it’s much
easier to make a music video look more professional than the opening
to a thriller film. I think this is because it’s harder to make an intense
thriller than a fun, bubbly music video. I think this was mainly down to
the fact that thriller films require much more acting skills, plus people
wouldn’t really take 17 year old kids as seriously in a thriller film than a
music video.
