1. Camp Caroline Fundraiser October 21, 2016
Weekend of Fun, Fellowship,
and Good Eating!
This Fundraiser is meant to build fellowship and camaraderie
among friends of Camp Caroline. Friday Evening we will have
burgers and hot dogs and evening worship at 8:00 pm. Saturday
will start early with cookers and boats getting started at 6:00am.
After the weigh in, we hope to clean our fish and add them to the
excellent BBQ plates that evening. Worship at 8:00pm followed
by bonfires with ice cream bars and s’mores for dessert. Bring
your folding lawn chairs for waterfront chillin’. We hope to have
at least 10 boats entered and at least 3 cooking teams for this
FIRST FALL FUNDRAISER FOR CAMP CAROLINE.
BOAT ENTRY =$100.00/ boat (Maximum of 4 fishers/boat)
BBQ COOKER ENTRY =$75.00/grill (We are asking that each
cooking team cooks 10 lbs of Boston Butt…Cooking teams are
responsible for providing their own meat and cookers)
We are hoping to have 40-60 folks participating. The cost is
$80.00 per person and includes lodging, food & event T-shirt.

tournament starts at 6:00am on
Saturday morning. Weigh-in
judging at 4:00pm.

Rods and Reels, t-shirts, and
Grand Prize of a Free Family
Weekend at the Slaymaker
House for 1st place angler.

afternoon and get your Boston
Butt ready for the Saturday
Cook-off. Judging will be done
between 5:30-6pm, just before
the BBQ plate supper.

All of the boat and grill entries goes to Camp Caroline. You will
need to bring your pillow, twin sheets (XL), towel/
washcloth, toiletries, etc. Please get your registrations in
ASAP. Camp is hosting two other groups throughout the
weekend. We have 4 cabins and Pelican’s Rest open for this
event. Folks will be asked to share cabin space (Recall that each
cabin can keep 16 people total at 8/side) Capacity for the event is
68 folks.
BBQ TOURNAMENT SPECIFICS: Judging will be done by
placing your ticket into your favorite team’s nominating box and
votes will be counted and awarded following supper. Prizes will
include cooker’s baskets and a grand prize of an annual bragging
rights trophy, champion aprons for the team, and a new chef’s
knife for the head cook.

registrants will receive a Camp Caroline t-shirt. We may have extra

Fishing Tournament
Rules & Regulations:
Primary fish categories for the
competition are:
• Spotted Seatrout (commonly
Speckled Trout) Legal limit Min.
14” TL
• Channel Bass (Commonly Red
Drum / Puppy Drum) Legal
Limits 18”-27” TL
• Kids and newbies fish from
shore/pier or on a boat may
weigh their largest legal fish
from their catch that day.
Teams are welcome to practice
and scout river locations Friday
evening. Boaters, while not
required, are encouraged to
launch their boats Friday
afternoon/evening and anchor
out in Dawson Creek on the
South Side of the pier after the
pier is maximized. Live bait and
lures are allowed. We realize that
not all boaters may have live-
wells so weigh in will not require
live catch. Two scales will be used
to verify weight, and prizes will be
awarded to heaviest fish in each
category.. GRAND PRIZE of a free
weekend at Slaymaker will be
awarded to the Angler who
catches the largest TROUT.
ANY fisher 16 years of age or
older must carry a current Unified
Inland/CRFL license. Upstream
Dawson Creek is Inland and
Downstream Dawson Creek is
Coastal.
