- The number one thing Twitter users look for on Twitter, is valuable content or any type of material that can better their brand or personal authority. If you attempt to use your Twitter account for the sole purpose to give updates on your gym status, then you may want to reconsider your strategy. Focus on pushing articles with these topics: How tos, Dos and Donts, Guides, Instructions, Tips and Tricks and of course video tutorials. Including valuable resources also helps. These may include references to wikis, blogs, books and online PDFs.
- Posing question and comments on controversial topics can get you the visibility and exposure needed to attract an audience. While some may think that participating in such topics might get you unfollowed and it might, but it will also attract like minded individuals (who are most likely your preferred audience). So put away your shyness and start tweeting!
- Twitter is the one of the few Social Media sites that won’t burn out your audience. You can tweet every 2 minutes and still you won’t be unfollowed for overtweeting. It is actually meant to be used that way. With that said, this means that you need more content to tweet. That is the exact reason why I like to use the Buffer App for Twitter. Once your tweets are schedule, you won’t have to worry about tweeting every 15 minutes which may become a burden if you happen to have a life outside of Social Media.
- Tweeting during high traffic times will get more visibility for you posts. You may find out which times are busiest by searching through your own history or other people’s feed. You may also use 3rd party applications like Tweriod which allows you to schedule your posts to be sent on the best times. You may integrate this application with Buffer as well.
- The key to getting more followers on Instagram has to do almost entirely with you photos. The best way to guarantee that users will want to follow your photos is by taking ownership of them and by creating a photo strategy that is unique. There are several way to do so. I would encourage you to add a watermark to each brand photo you post in order to make it harder for users to just use it anywhere. You can do so by downloading the iwatermark app.
