For those of you who have some sort of a training management system, aside from expense, what are the biggest pain points you face?
Improved productivity through a trained workforce: When companies introduce corporate training programs for its employees specifically geared toward their needs, it allows the employees to gain relevant knowledge, which eventually proves to be an advantage to the organization, because it boosts productivity with enhanced problem-solving skills and lets employees develop a more professional attitude toward their job duties.
Better customer satisfaction: Trained employees translate into improved work quality and better products and services. This results in happier customers and helps your business build a strong and loyal customer base. Specially in retail, and hospitality – or another commoditized industry where customer service can make the difference
Saves administrative costs: Employees that have received training require less supervision which can result in additional savings. It also frees up senior level management, who do not have to spend time monitoring employees. Some examples include healthcare and manufacturing.
Improved company culture and morale: We often consider this a “side effect” or an intangible gain. Training can be used to improve corporate culture. a form of employee engagement; a form of investment in your workforce; better contribution to corporate strategy, knowledge; lower employee turnover A great example xample is Zappos—the leading online shoe retailer: they write best selling books on creating great company culture. At centre is their HR team that uses training tools to diffuse corproate culture through their 5,000 employees.

Having covered the four general areas where corporate training can help, let’s look at how an LMS or elearning platform can support your organization. You can also look at this from a “project” base or short term uses.
New employee orientation – often resulting in 48% reduction in turnover the first 6 months
OSHA (occupational safety and health administration); can include first aid, fire safey
Compliance and governance – insurance and finance or other that have compliance officers

44% - that’s the percent of training hours that were delivered by a stand-and-deliver instructor in a classroom (down from 46%) $706 – what US companies spent per learner. Companies with more mature/sophisticated products spent close to $867. This is a derivative of the total $ US companies spend on training -- 74% - seventy-four percent of respondents in the market for a replacement HCM system sought to improve their users' experience, recognizing that new, better and faster technologies are available in the market today. The ability to integrate the entire range of HCM software to improve access to analytics and decision-making were also key driversSources:http://www.trainingmag.com/2013-training-industry-reporthttp://www.bersin.com/News/Content.aspx?id=16186 http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/bersin-by-deloitte-research-shows-organizations-plan-to-replace-or-buy-new-human-capital-management-software-to-support-their-workforces-in-the-next-18-months-254172811.html
Marking and processing all training results: Marking, filling and processing results can be a timely process; this involves a huge amount of resources over time that can be resolved by consolidating this into an automated process where the user cannot progress onto the next module until they have passed a series of questions, automatically processing results in the background. This saves the company money through equipment used, time from staff and can be accessed with a single click from any location.Reduced System Admin: No enterprise software overhead... Cloud Delivery Infrastructure: cloud infrastructure is a shared infrastructure decreasing costs of processing and delivery..Analytics and Reporting: being able to easily see access, progress, and accomplishments of workforce empowers HR to empower your companyIntegrations:In most circumstances you will require at least some interaction with other business systems. The most common scenarios are authenticated enrolment and transferring data from your company ERP, and receiving data from the LMS to an HR system. With our Organization Manager module, Totara has been built to make this process easier and we have proven large-scale experience with enterprise integrations, including PeopleSoft, SAP and Oracle.

Reduce Capital CostsAnything from not having to purchase servers or the extra IT personnel to maintain them; Managed hosting means you do not have to buy the servers or the IT expertise to run a Moodle or Totara implementation. We take the capital costs off your balance sheet.Save time (which results in money) in implementation time average of 7 weeks for a typical users, 6-8 months for custom enterprise solutionScalabilityConcept of future proof and not having to “hedge your bets”. Base your costs on what you need today, but be assured that you are covered for the futureFrom 500 to over 100,0000Performance:Offer your students 24/7 access on variety of devices – do not have to design mobile specific sites fail over and traffic maintenanceReceive scheduled upgrades with new feature
[Highlight how it’s different than the learning plan slide]How save $: part of analytics and reporting piece – save time when it comes to hiring; promote internally save on training and onboarding costsTo save time and money when hiring for a replacement or new role. Lambda’s Solution allows you to search your database for a potential fit. prior to deciding whether you need to post externally. The competency name in most cases is your skill. By determining the type of skill you are looking for will narrow your search. So if we touch on goals for a specific role versus a potential candidate that already has the experience within the organization, we can locate within this report. So say I’m looking for a Junior Project Manager and would like to see if I have any internal candidates that might have certain capability or competency to fill the role. I see 2 with Project Management Principles as a competency they both could be potential candidates.
