Ships seen on a cruise aboard CMV's MAGELLAN. Departing Tilbury on 10th July 2015, the ship visited Amsterdam (11/7), passing IJmuiden and Beverwijk on the way, transited the River Elbe (12/7), passing Cuxhaven, Brunsbuttel and Stade before arriving at Hamburg. A night departure meant the River Elbe pilot station and anchorages were in view the following day (13/7) for the day at sea, rounding the Skaw in the evening. Helsingborg (14/7), where a trip across to Helsingor (Elsinore) was taken, before heading to Copenhagen later in the evening. Malmo and Landskrona observed on the way. Left Copenhagen late (15/7) heading up the Oresund. Final port, Aalborg (16/7), where the ship was center of attention, as it was 30 years since the ship had last left the port, following construction by Aalborg Vaerft. Having left Aalborg in the afternoon, Limfjord was left behind at Hals, were the inlet meets the Baltic, and headed up towards Skaw again, passing Frederikshavn and Skagen. Final day was at sea (17/7), arriving next morning at Tilbury (18/7). All photographs are copyright Krispen Atkinson, unless otherwise stated. Enjoy!
