Power prayer 42
- 1. Power Through Prayer by Adam Woeger
“And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;” Luke 18:1.
Many people today give both prayer and God very little thought. Prayer is a great privilege. It is an invitation
to go before Almighty God, who created and loves you, to share time, to be renewed and empowered. It is an
honor to have access, so you may appreciate and cherish Him. “Pray without ceasing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:17.
Jesus spent much time daily in prayer, to be renewed spiritually and physically. He knew the awesome power
through The Holy Spirit, and intimacy with His Father, that prayer could bring, and the absolute necessity for
taking the time to pray. Prayer is so important as it will refresh you, by nourishing your body, soul, and spirit.
How long has it been since you last participated in meaningful and joyful prayer with your Heavenly Father?
Prayer will bring times of refreshing from God to you. Clear out all sin, partake of Jesus Christ’s wonderful
sacrifice, and stand before God’s Presence in prayer. “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins
may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;” Acts 3:19.
We should come together in unity and prayer at every meeting where the Believers of Christ are assembled.
The church is not a building, but rather the people, who are called out, and dedicated to serving Jesus Christ.
Prayer changes things. God desires there to be an open heaven over your life, church, city, state, and nation.
Too often, Believers will disbelieve God and Jesus Christ, fail to repent, hold unforgiveness, or judge others.
Sin is like an evil taskmaster, who wants to control you, and keep you from a proper relationship with God.
Jesus will never force you to serve God. The Holy Spirit will draw people to Jesus, so they can be forgiven.
Prayer is the ultimate expression of love you may have toward others. Pray for one another, that their sins
may be forgiven, and that they may be restored back to have a right relationship with God, and Jesus Christ.
“Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and
ye shall have them. And when ye stand praying, forgive...” Mark 11:24-25. “If we confess our sins, he is
faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9. “Confess
your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer
of a righteous man availeth much.” James 5:16. “So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and
unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.” Hebrews 9:28.
“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the
remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your
children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.” Acts 2:38-39. “For
this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.” Matthew 26:28.
Ask, “...Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples. And he said unto them, When ye pray,
say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as
in heaven, so in earth. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive
every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.” Luke 11:1-4.
Prayer is the ultimate expression to God of your absolute dependence on Him. We come to God, The Father,
in prayer, in Jesus’ Name. For without Jesus’ Blood Sacrifice, we would not be able to have access to God.
Refreshing, strength and power come from time in prayer, where God’s Priorities have become our priorities.
