2. There are great reasons to invite a guest to your EfM seminar. There are a
few ways to do this – but first, get the agreement of your group.
In the U.S., Cindy sets each group up with two guest spots. These are
usually efmguest1[course#] or efmguest2[course#]. Cindy will give you the
password.
In your own course site, you can find these names in the Course
Management Control Panel in Users and Groups, under Users. You’ll see in
this course that they are set up with my E-mail address but a moderator can
change that. These are helpful if some joins your group late . I have used
these while waiting for the permanent user name to be assigned. NOTE:
use of this user name will give the person access to everything
including discussion boards.
3. While on the Join Room screen, click on Invite Guests.
4. The Invite Guests dialog box pops open. You can type in an E-mail address, click Add, and
then Done --- Or copy the Public URL and send it to someone. If it is working rights, the
link in the E-mail or that you send will take a person right to the Blackboard Ultra room. I
don’t think (but I am not positive) that the invitee can access the rest of the course.
