Like spiders, introverts are often misunderstood.
“Shy” and “introvert” are not synonymous. Sometimes introverts are shy, but not all shy people are introverts.
Sometimes people think we (introverts) are rude.
Sometimes people think we (introverts) are cranky. Let’s face it – everyone can be cranky!
There’s this idea that introverts don’t like people. We often like people; we just get drained by being around others.
There are occasions where we introverts like to get out there and dance.
But generally, we’re content to just chill with a small group of people.
There are always large events of some sort that introverts are required to attend.
We can even speak in front of large crowds.
But when it’s time to go, there ain’t nothing that’s going to hold us back from going home.
And we’ll be going “Squee, squee, squee” on the inside, all the way home.
It’s important to remember that we cannot “fix” ourselves and become extroverts, just like this frog won’t turn into a handsome prince.
