illustration any details you’d like such as lines, shapes, characters,
colors etc.
You do not have to finish the drawing if you don’t want to.
After you’re done with the exercise, introspect on what emotions
have come to the surface and what you have added to the
illustration. This introspection is important because it will unveil
to you these build-up emotions and help you understand how to
process through them in a healthy way.

INSPIRATIONALWRITING
Read the inspirational writing below. Close your eyes for a
moment after reading to assimilate the words and help you better
understand the concept being introduced.
When we attempt to meet the demands of the
external world without knowing how to re-
energize our inner worlds with the light of peace,
then our lives unfortunately shift into a state of
complete chaos, both internally and externally.
Many of us get trapped in this chaos and can
never find our way out. When this happens, our
bodies will send us quiet messages to tell us to
slow down. If we do not listen, the body will
start failing and give us a major wakeup call that
it cannot keep operating in this intense state of
chaos. If we want to get out of this state of chaos,
then we are going to have to take some time
every day to pause and re-energize our inner
worlds with the light of peace.
After assimilating, use the writing prompt on the following page
to stimulate intuitive writing. Use a journal if you need additional
space than what is provided.

Start writing whatever comes to mind.
Keep your hand actively moving.
Your handwriting is perfect no matter what.
Feel free to travel outside the margins or lines.
Don’t worry about spelling, punctuation, grammar or edits.
Simply let yourself go and just write.
Be very honest with yourself.
Switch to your non-dominant hand at anytime.

LET’SSTEPOUTOFTHIS
Strengthen your will power by practicing the following exercise as
often as you’d like to help you pause and feel more peace.
Relax into a comfortable position and close your eyes.
While inhaling slowly, tense your entire body.
Hold this tension for 3 seconds.
Quickly release while exhaling through the mouth.
Do this as many times as you need in order to release any built up
internal chaos you may be feeling.
Sit quietly for a few minutes afterwards, keeping your
eyes closed.
Then mentally repeat,
“I am at peace,”
creating a light of peace within you.

By learning to create an internal light of peace
using the previous exercise, we can then begin
to focus our attention on doing more things
throughout the day that bring us this same light
of peace. To do this, we are going to have to
choose activities that we enjoy doing that help us
to take our minds off the external chaotic world
and onto this new-found peace within. These
activities are going to be unique to each of us
because we all enjoy doing different things. We
should incorporate these activities into our daily
lives by letting go of, one at a time, the things
that make us feel chaotic and replacing them one
by one with our new activities that create this
light of peace within.

about avenues you enjoy doing that bring you peace.

another list of things you enjoy doing that bring you peace.
CHAOS PEACE
Compare your two lists and see where you might be able to replace
some of the things that make you feel chaotic with some of the
things that bring you peace. Then ask yourself the question on the

This will help us to maintain our lights so that we
can continue to feel peace in any environment.
