The document describes plans for two experiential exhibits to showcase the Red Bull Stratos mission: a Core Experience and a Blue Sky Experience. The Core Experience would use various interactive zones to tell the story of Felix Baumgartner's record-breaking jump through the stratosphere in an immersive sensory chamber. The Blue Sky Experience would transport visitors through the stages of the mission in a tunnel exhibit using projected imagery and video. Both experiences aim to inspire future pioneers through the story of human achievement and collaboration with science and technology.
7. When Felix Baumgartner stepped out of his capsule to freefall
through the stratosphere, the watching world saw that humans,
though small, can achieve epic feats.
Mathematics, chemistry and physics produced the materials and
mechanics required to launch Felix into space. Human collaboration,
harmony of the senses and emotional drive gave Felix the courage
required to leap down to Earth.
The Red Bull Stratos 2013 Mission is to share with future pioneers
the story of this partnership between man and machine. To give
them the inspiration to create their own blend of science and
human drive.
To invite them to make a big jump.

guests find the Sensory Chamber
• Guests experience an emotional simulation
of the sensory narrative of Felix’s launch,
ascent and jump
• Looping, multi-angle high-resolution video
of 4.5 minute fall
• Projected lighting replicates the change
from atmosphere to stratosphere
and back
• High-speed fans to simulate wind speed
changes
• Temperature fluxuations
• Chamber designed with sound-proof
materials to showcase audio journey

SENSORY
CHAMBER
23. EXPERIENCE OVERVIEW_
LAUNCH
• The impressive, monolithic shape of a glowing
tunnel chamber invites guests in
• Their curiosity is launched as they read
illuminated dimensional signage that announces
“The Adrenaline of Science”
• The tunnel’s angled design uses forced
perspective to completely transport the guests

audio from Felix and Mission Control, as well as
heartbeat sounds and the quiet silences of space
25. THE JUMP
• Guests step into a projection chamber where they will
be able to experience “The Jump”
• Flanked by monitors showing looping video of Felix
jumping from the capsule, guests look down to see
they are in freefall.....standing on floor screens playing
high-definition video of Felix’s real-time fall POV
footage
• The illusion of falling through the stratosphere,
atmosphere and finally landing on earth will drive
home the absolute epic nature of what the Stratos
Mission accomplished
