Synthesis of API’s (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) for the active Drug.
Outline of the above work
• In these projects we have synthesized important API’s, which can be used for formulation of
active drugs. These important ingredients were prepared by synthesis of several steps using
oxidation, reduction, salt formation, hydrogenation, cyclisation, Resolution of both amine as
well as acids etc.
• Development of APIs in the laboratory. This involves Literature search of products by using
effective resources
• Actively involved in feasibility, Process optimization and laboratory Scale up, laboratory
validation, Cost reduction, Polymorphic study of API, Preparation and Isolation of Impurities,
Purification by recrystalisation, Salt formation, Fractional distillation, High vacuum
distillation and Column chromatography.
• Scaling-up of API from laboratory scale to the pilot plant and technology transfer to Plant for
production.
• Quality analysis of APIs and there intermediates, Result Interpretation as GC, HPLC, IR,
NMR, MASS and other routine analytical analysis.
• Having knowledge of preparation of Documents such as Product Development Report (PDR)
and Costing of API.
• Project planning is done as per urgent basis & having discussion with Group Leader. Capable
to adapt fast new work environment & always ready to shoulder more responsibilities.
• Taking care of Chemicals, Glassware and machinery of the department, And also
administrative and maintenance work of our department.
