2. History
The Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) was first introduced
in 2011 targeting mid-market customers. The ODA was
smaller than an Oracle Exadata, had less storage, memory
and CPUs, and was sold at a fraction of the price of an
Exadata.
Since then Oracle announced the X3-2 in 2013, X4-2 in
2014, X5-2 in 2015 and most recently the X6-2 in 2016.
