- The innovation module consolidates the disclosure and review process. This process looks very simple at first: the inventor discloses an invention, and the disclosure is reviewed by legal experts and some form of review committee; and then a decision is made whether to approve a patent filing or pursue another protection strategy.
- Let’s look at the first step. Companies with aggressive innovation goals know that their inventors don’t always submit their ideas, even with incentives. Inventors may dislike the submission process, not trust the company’s procedures, and feel their ideas disappear into a black hole. Decipher can help you create an efficient process that keeps the inventor apprised of his disclosure’s status and aware of Gaining trust starts with the submission form: it must be easy to use; it should minimize the effort needed to enter data—no engineer wants to enter their own name, their co-inventor’s phone number, and their division when they know the system really should have that information already.
