Dear Healthcare Professional,
On behalf of the Scientific and Organising Committees, it gives us great pleasure to invite you to participate in the
1st Gulf Hypertension Conference, taking place from 26-27 January 2015 at Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre.
Provided by the Cleveland Clinic, this new conference is part of the Arab Health Congress, the world’s largest multi-track medical
congress. Furthermore, it is one of a handful of events in the region to offer Continuing Medical Education (CME) to attending
medical professionals via its scientific exchange.
The aim of this conference is to provide a review and update of topics pertinent to clinical practice in hypertension. Over two
days, regional and international experts will address diagnosis and management strategies, as well as analyse recent advances
in hypertension. The conference will also elaborate on the extent of the disease and its impact in our region. This will be a great
opportunity for physicians, allied healthcare practitioners, and regional health agencies to obtain updated evidence-based
information that can be incorporated into clinical practice, in collaboration to plan Public Health interventions that can address the
rising prevalence of hypertension in the region.
The conference will include highlights from the latest 2014 Annual European Hypertension meeting in Athens, and will also discuss
updated European, American, and regional hypertension guidelines.
The conference will provide a unique platform to interact with internationally recognised experts in the field of hypertension and
cardiovascular risk factors. The programme has been designed to allow adequate time for discussion and interaction with speakers
and panelists, and it will also include case scenarios from clinical experience.
We look forward to welcoming you to the 1st Gulf Hypertension Conference in January.
Yours sincerely,
Dr J. Al Said

  • 2. Dear Healthcare Professional, On behalf of the Scientific and Organising Committees, it gives us great pleasure to invite you to participate in the 1st Gulf Hypertension Conference, taking place from 26-27 January 2015 at Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre. Provided by the Cleveland Clinic, this new conference is part of the Arab Health Congress, the world’s largest multi-track medical congress. Furthermore, it is one of a handful of events in the region to offer Continuing Medical Education (CME) to attending medical professionals via its scientific exchange. The aim of this conference is to provide a review and update of topics pertinent to clinical practice in hypertension. Over two days, regional and international experts will address diagnosis and management strategies, as well as analyse recent advances in hypertension. The conference will also elaborate on the extent of the disease and its impact in our region. This will be a great opportunity for physicians, allied healthcare practitioners, and regional health agencies to obtain updated evidence-based information that can be incorporated into clinical practice, in collaboration to plan Public Health interventions that can address the rising prevalence of hypertension in the region. The conference will include highlights from the latest 2014 Annual European Hypertension meeting in Athens, and will also discuss updated European, American, and regional hypertension guidelines. The conference will provide a unique platform to interact with internationally recognised experts in the field of hypertension and cardiovascular risk factors. The programme has been designed to allow adequate time for discussion and interaction with speakers and panelists, and it will also include case scenarios from clinical experience. We look forward to welcoming you to the 1st Gulf Hypertension Conference in January. Yours sincerely, Dr J. Al Said Conference Chair 1st Gulf Hypertension Conference Dr George Thomas Activity Director 1st Gulf Hypertension Conference P.S.
