DC-bus
voltage Although the previous studies are successful in reducing the
DC-bus voltage ripples and instability in SPVBS. However,
they still have some drawbacks such as; oscillations and
unacceptable dynamic performance.
Small
DC-bus
Capacitor
In order to reduce this ripple, large electrolytic capacitors which have
short lifetimes are often used at the DC bus. To increase the lifetime of
SPVBS, it is necessary to replace electrolytic capacitors with small film
capacitors which have long lives and low capacitance.
Doctoral project (What has already been done?)
Based on the results of previous studies, the smallest DC-bus capacitor used in
SPVBS was 20-µF.
