In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
Conventions of a Radio Broadcast At the very beginning of an radio broadcast the radio station is introduced such as KISS 100 or Capital FM. Whilst the radio station is being introduced a specific sound clip that is upbeat and recognisable is played so the listener is familiarised. After the Radio station is introduced the presenter then tells the listening audience his/her name. The Radio presenters then tells the listeners what is going to coming up on the show in quick succession. Between each stories a certain clip is played to show change of stories. The weather is always the last story to be broadcasted.
What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why? I personally think that a local radio station as well as one of the bigger stations will broadcast my recording this will be because it has been structured and presented to fit into a local radio broadcast/station which would be based in North West London or London locally.
Who would be the audience for your media product? My intended audience for my media product would be every teenager that lived in the NW London region. The Gender, Ethnicity and Religion of my intended audience all vary due to NW London being such a multi cultural and diverse area, so there wouldn't be a specific Gender, Religion or Ethnicity.  Age : 13 – 19 Year Olds Gender : Male/Female Occupations : Students North West London Area
How I attracted/addressed My audience?
What I have learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?  From using Adobe Audition for the first time I had learnt the trade of it all. I have expertise in near enough all of the Adobe Programmes and many other programs as well. Adobe Edition for me took me getting to because It had many functions that I had no idea of. It was impressive the way you can cut parts you don't need and how you can blend and pan the recordings. Also in Adobe Audition you could undo mistake and un-numerable amount of times thus making it more easy to use. I had also used facilities such as they have radio stations have: recording studio, mix board etc. When I first saw it I was quite confused on not knowing how to use it but over the period of months I had adapted to it. I think that the equipment that I had worked with was very high standard and thus more easier to understand due to the quality having clarity and professionalism

Looking back at my preliminary task, what do I feel I have learnt in the progression from it to the full product? When I had started firstly on my pre-limenary task I had no knowledge on Adobe Audition but as the weeks progressed I had learnt a lot such as: learning and co-operating with friends, learning with them, using programmes properly and how I peer assessed work and how other assessed mine. I had learnt a lot and created a 5 minute radio jingle in a matter of months which took a lot of effort as well as patience due to getting used to the program was sort of annoying which acted like a stepping stone for me in a way.I had learnt a lot of things from the pre-limenary to the final product such as determination, co-operation and enhancing my music sense as well as different styles of talking in different situations.This is what I have learnt in the past 3-4 months working on my Media Product.
My Media Evaluation My Media Product was completed I had it peer assessed and teacher assessed to meet their criteria or to see if there was any problems or lack of sound clarity in my Product. I Personally think that my own Media Product wasn't as perfect as it could be but it was to my satisfaction in the time I had to finish. But I could've done better with my recording and how I presented it but I had to also plan my blog and what I was going to write. If I had put more effort into the Product it may of came out better or even I could've proposed better ideas or even write better scripts for my self. I should of added more enthusiasm to my recordings so I can my unique personality to this but I didn't, so It didn't have a unique touch I would've wanted and turned out to be as all other radio broadcasts. Peer Assessment Nathan: ' Hitesh's Media Product was pretty good compared to others that I have listened to but could've done with some tweaking at the end an the way he presented his ideas was roughly planned so if he had done this I think it would be up there with one of the best in the class. But personally I think he done good with what he had and how much effort he put it is what he got out equally with his Final Media Product‘.

  • 2. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
  • 3. Conventions of a Radio Broadcast At the very beginning of an radio broadcast the radio station is introduced such as KISS 100 or Capital FM. Whilst the radio station is being introduced a specific sound clip that is upbeat and recognisable is played so the listener is familiarised. After the Radio station is introduced the presenter then tells the listening audience his/her name. The Radio presenters then tells the listeners what is going to coming up on the show in quick succession. Between each stories a certain clip is played to show change of stories. The weather is always the last story to be broadcasted.
  • 4. What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why? I personally think that a local radio station as well as one of the bigger stations will broadcast my recording this will be because it has been structured and presented to fit into a local radio broadcast/station which would be based in North West London or London locally.
  • 5. Who would be the audience for your media product? My intended audience for my media product would be every teenager that lived in the NW London region. The Gender, Ethnicity and Religion of my intended audience all vary due to NW London being such a multi cultural and diverse area, so there wouldn't be a specific Gender, Religion or Ethnicity. Age : 13 – 19 Year Olds Gender : Male/Female Occupations : Students North West London Area
  • 7. What I have learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product? From using Adobe Audition for the first time I had learnt the trade of it all. I have expertise in near enough all of the Adobe Programmes and many other programs as well. Adobe Edition for me took me getting to because It had many functions that I had no idea of. It was impressive the way you can cut parts you don't need and how you can blend and pan the recordings. Also in Adobe Audition you could undo mistake and un-numerable amount of times thus making it more easy to use. I had also used facilities such as they have radio stations have: recording studio, mix board etc. When I first saw it I was quite confused on not knowing how to use it but over the period of months I had adapted to it. I think that the equipment that I had worked with was very high standard and thus more easier to understand due to the quality having clarity and professionalism

  • 10. Looking back at my preliminary task, what do I feel I have learnt in the progression from it to the full product? When I had started firstly on my pre-limenary task I had no knowledge on Adobe Audition but as the weeks progressed I had learnt a lot such as: learning and co-operating with friends, learning with them, using programmes properly and how I peer assessed work and how other assessed mine. I had learnt a lot and created a 5 minute radio jingle in a matter of months which took a lot of effort as well as patience due to getting used to the program was sort of annoying which acted like a stepping stone for me in a way.I had learnt a lot of things from the pre-limenary to the final product such as determination, co-operation and enhancing my music sense as well as different styles of talking in different situations.This is what I have learnt in the past 3-4 months working on my Media Product.

My Media Evaluation My Media Product was completed I had it peer assessed and teacher assessed to meet their criteria or to see if there was any problems or lack of sound clarity in my Product. I Personally think that my own Media Product wasn't as perfect as it could be but it was to my satisfaction in the time I had to finish. But I could've done better with my recording and how I presented it but I had to also plan my blog and what I was going to write. If I had put more effort into the Product it may of came out better or even I could've proposed better ideas or even write better scripts for my self. I should of added more enthusiasm to my recordings so I can my unique personality to this but I didn't, so It didn't have a unique touch I would've wanted and turned out to be as all other radio broadcasts. Peer Assessment Nathan: ' Hitesh's Media Product was pretty good compared to others that I have listened to but could've done with some tweaking at the end an the way he presented his ideas was roughly planned so if he had done this I think it would be up there with one of the best in the class. But personally I think he done good with what he had and how much effort he put it is what he got out equally with his Final Media Product‘.
