As we see that every index of every year is falling as comparison of Last year. If we talk about Corruption Perceptions Index, Democracy Index, Ease of doing business, education index, etc.
We find that India is falling. So what is index? An index a sign or
measure of something (plural: indices).
1. FALLING DOWN
As we see that every index of every year is falling as comparison of
Last year. If wetalk about Corruption Perceptions Index,
Democracy Index, Easeof doing business, education index, etc.
We find that India is falling. So whatis index? An index a sign or
measureof something (plural: indices). In economics and finance, an index is a
statistical measure of changes in a representativegroup of individual data points.
These data may be derived fromany number of sources. So whatare the index in
which we have fallen; Economic Freedom index, India came down 26 ranks in the
world due to this India has been losing on all forums.GDP has already reached
minus 23.9%, unemploymentis highest since independence but worstis yet to
come. India has now slipped to 105th rank from79th position last year. In
Canadaâs Fraser instituteâs reportIndia shows decreaseon all parameters.
Itshows decline in size of government, legal systemand property rights, freedom
to trade internationally and regulation of credit, labour and business. Justhours
before this recent reportcame, indiaâs industrialproduction contracted for the
fifth month in a row in July. Ithas declined 10.4% in justone year. In January the
Economist released its annualdemocracy index reportwhere india dropped 10
places in the ranking to reach51stplace. Indiaâs 2019 scoreis lowestsincethe
compilation began in2006.India dropped drastically in press freedomindex this
year reach 142nd rank in the list of 180 countries like wiseIndia ranked 133rd out
of 167 countries in Women peace and security index. Spectator index ranked
India as the fifth mostdangerous country to live in. In global hunger index 2019
India ranked 102 out of 117 countries, below Nepal Bangladesh and Pakistan,
India slipped to 129th place in United Nations Human Development index in 2019,
India ranked 49 on the Poverty index, with more than 36 crore Indians stillunable
to afford two squaremeals a day. And moreand more In the World Happiness
Report, India slipped down seven positions in 2019, to 140 from133 in 2018
based on factors like socialsupport, income, freedom, trust, health and
generosity.

2. India slipped down ten places since 2018 to be ranked 68th in the annual Global
Competitiveness Indexin 2019.Indiaâsrank also slipped five places to 141 among
163 countries, compared to the previous year in the Global Peace Index, 2019.
Then who is the culprit? If weassumefor sometimes for example GDP has fallen
due to COVID-19, butwhatabout 2017, 2018 whereour GDP is shrink from8 to
6%. So in my point of view the lack of management in which accountability is
more hampered. Govt. provides fund and lots of yojnaâs butwho is responsibleto
take accountability of all the events, In India no one. And also the biggestloop
holes are created i.e., corruption. At the end we need better coordination in all
the key areas and a must better management so that we can reduce the wastage.
If wewill not follow this norms what happed at the end? We havesigned on SDG
in which we will miss. The SDG India Index computes goal-wisescores on the 16
SDGs for each State and Union Territory and it will directly hit the country.
