The Organization Committee of the HKIBIM Annual Conference 2017 invites you to submit
a paper to be featured at the Conference.
About HKIBIM Hong Kong BIM Conference
The HKIBIM Annual Conference is the premier annual event for experienced professionals
to demonstrate the practical use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes using
real cases. The speakers are encouraged to illustrate lessons learned in practical projects
so that more professionals from different disciplines can improve their productivity through
efficient use of BIM and advanced practical knowledge. This is an exciting opportunity to
share your knowledge and experience with the larger BIM community.
Conference Theme: Transforming BIM to Action
Conference Submission Topics
The conference topics should be related, but not limited to:
(1) 3D laser scanning, image based modelling;
(2) Use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV);
(3) Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, BIM-based Immersive Virtual Environment;
(4) Wearable Technology, Internet of things (IoT);
(5) Computational design with BIM by visual programming;
(6) Facilities Management, BIM Interoperability, COBie, BIM data exchange;
(7) Energy Performance Modelling;
(8) Prefabrication, 3D printing;
(9) Smart Cities, Industry 4.0.
The experiences of BIM working with disciplines from design, construction, engineering,
project management, manufacturing, financing, insurance, risk management and legal to
showcase achievements in a manageable system, accuracy, productivity and cost
effectiveness is expected from the paper.

-Each paper that covers multiple disciplines must include at least two of the following
disciplines, but is not limited to two: the disciplines of architecture, building construction,
civil engineering, interior design, IT and programming, manufacturing, financing, insurance,
risk management and legal. Integrated multi-discipline models are preferred.
-Abstract in MS Word DOC format must be submitted electronically by email to:
