“SMALL-FARM PROSPERITY”
By
JOCK BRANDIS
In an age of climate change,
resource scarcity and peak oil,
technology like this could help put
food on our plates -- food that comes
RANDIS
from prosperous small farms that are
near to home.
Jock Brandis is an inventor of low-tech equipment for irrigation and food-processing. He
will talk about his work in the developing world and in North America, and about how this
technology -- which does not use petroleum or grid electricity -- can promote local food,
small farms and sustainable agriculture.
