2. What do you do with the rubbish or waste in your house?
3. In our house it is placed in waste paper bins in every room, and the waste food trimmings into the kitchen bin. Then finally all the bins are emptied weekly into the wheelie bin for the local rubbish collector to empty into his lorry.
4. We also have recycling bins, for grass cuttings, paper and cardboard, glass and tins, and plastics. These will be recycled and may return into our lives again one day!
5. What happens if you do not put the rubbish bin out? Smelly, dirty, flies. Do you ever worry about what they are going to do with your rubbish? No! They just take it away. Sometimes they bury it, but now they recycle it. They give it new life by turning it into something useful.
6. We have rubbish inside us that we call “Sin.” It is the bad things that we say and do and think, the Bible calls it sin. BUT, unlike the rubbish in our homes we CANNOT put Sin out on the curb for the rubbish collector to take away. We have to deal with this rubbish called “SIN” in a different way!
7. YET, Jesus is like our rubbish collector, for He alone takes OUR SIN away. He wants us to put all the bad things in our lives out for Him to take away. We do not have to worry about them anymore once we give OUR SINS to Him.
8. John the Baptist said of Jesus: “Jesus was the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.” We are going to place “OUR SIN” in this rubbish bag, for we know that Jesus came to take away the sin of the world.
9. Prayer: Dear Jesus I want to put my trust in you, will You take away the sin in my life. But Your death on the CROSS and rising again! Amen! Internetpreachersforchrist.co.uk
