- 9. Six recommendations: •1) Monitor the development of Science Diplomacy in the EU •2) Create a support structure for Science Diplomacy activities at the level of EU Member states
- 10. Six recommendations: •3) Align the EU’s RTD policy with the EFSP •4) Create a culture of Science Diplomacy in the EEAS
- 11. Six recommendations: •5) Improve dialogue and collaboration with regard to Science Diplomacy between all relevant EU institutions •6) Develop a focused EU strategic plan on Science Diplomacy that incorporates the above recommendations

- 13. Conclusions: • Science Diplomacy is on the agenda of the EU o But: it needs a clearer strategy o And also: it needs adequate tools and resources • Risk: that it will remain a discourse that only rephrases international collaborations and that is not supported by the S&T communities
