3. AIR QUALITY MONITORING AND CONTROL UNIT

Destinated for indoor air quality intelligent con-
trol, FE1011 unit has been designed to sim-
plify, optimize and monitoring all management’s
operations of a local network consisting of
FE1017 sensor modules and FE230/S and
FE230/ C digital speed controllers.
Using a RS485 serial communication channel, It
is possible to realize a home automation system
that can supervise environmental conditions of
different monitored areas and implement appro-
priate control strategies on the basis of the data
collected.
The use of a domotic network for air treatment management systems, not only frees the user from
manually continuing operations necessary to change controlled installations, but allows the user to
get the best performance with minimal energy impact, being the installations operations regulated
on the basis of the environmental data acquired by sensors.
Equipped with a capacitive keyboard and a great readability monochrome display, FE1011 control
unit is the ideal system to remotely manage a devices network, giving users the ability to monitor
data from sensors and the operating status of the controlled installations, to set operating parame-
ters that define the behavior of the speed controllers and directly control the loads connected to
the regulators themselves.
To meet the more specific needs and the needs of those who require a highly flexible and custo-
mizable solution, it is possible to manage the entire domotic network through a personal computer
to create a system of supervision and control.

5. SENSOR MODULE

The FE1017 module is a device that can integrate up to
four distinct types of sensors, which allow you to as-
sess indoor air quality by measuring temperature, humidi-
ty, ozone concentration and the main contaminants
that typically are formed in combustion processes and in
the processing and handling of materials.
It has been designed to guarantee maximum flexibility of
use, the sensor module has a RS485 serial communication
port in order to share the data acquired within a communi-
cation network, so that the network supervision system -
FE1011 unit or a personal computer - can implement the optimal control strategy that guaran-
tees the maximum comfort with the lowest energy consumption.
For more simple and immediate installations, it is also possible to use the device as a stand-alone
module: equipped with three signaling led and a relay to control an external device, the mo-
dule is an autonomous system able of activating an alarm system or an air treatment system when
the monitored environmental conditions deteriorate over a user’s defined threshold value.
The software, to be installed on a personal computer, provided with FE1017 module allows you to
view the performance of the sensors acquired signals, save the measuremnents on a text file and
set a large number of parameters that define the operating mode implemented by the module
itself, in order to adjust the device functioning to the particular installation and to environmental
characteristics.
