Development – Design via text, storyboard, graphics, audio, and/or, video
Implementation – Delivered to its audience
Evaluation - Assessment
Dick and Carey Model
‱ Approach is composed of ten steps:
‱ Identify goal – needs assessment
‱ Instructional analysis – determine the skills and knowledge required for the goal
‱ Analyze learner – in terms of skills, attitudes, prior knowledge, and motivation
‱ Design Objective – writing performance specifying the skills, conditions for learning
‱ Assessment – development instruments
‱ Presenting Strategy – instructional strategy for testing, and learning activity
‱ Develop and Produce Instructions – strategy established
‱ Data Evaluation – formative evaluation
‱ Revised Lesson – using the collected information from the evaluation, analysis, objective
‱ Summative – evaluation of the success of the instruction
Similarities
