Respondents, some of whom chose to

related technology systems will enhance

2/3 said we'd be fine with AI

The consumer of 2020 - 2030 is going to be
more demanding in terms of expectations.
In every part of the world there’s going to be
many disrupted companies with a different
model, different value, different philosophy
which therefore raises the game for the rest
of us.
As you begin to master mobile platform,
there will be some populations that have
moved on to what I call a “less touch

The economy will likely stagnate briefly,
more struggling middle class, frustrated, to a
point of social uprising as we all slowly
transition to the age of industrial 4.0.
A lot of hate for large companies who have
no regard for social responsibility.

If you think your business or yourself is
producing too much content in 2019 just
imagine the amount machines and AI can
produce in seconds.
Did you know more than 4 million hours of
content are uploaded to YouTube every day,
with users watching 5.97 billion hours of
YouTube videos each day.
The Email Statistics Report 2019-2023 by the
Radicati Group confirms this – 293 billion
emails are sent daily in 2019, and this is
expected to grow by 4.2% yearly to 347
billion in 2023.
All meaning that as digital technology gets
cheaper, faster, smarter, better there’s going
to be maybe 1000x more content.
That said, there will always be fewer
and fewer people who know how to
b e s t ra te g i c , b e c o n s i s t e n t ,
differentiate, value adder, and

Technology Best Worst
Singularity
Living in paradise – everybody
does what he likes – machines
handle the rest.
The last world war could have
been won by a laptop that
only “acted under orders” – or
which classified humanity as a
whole as a risk to security.
Intelligent infrastructures
Traffic flows, logistics –
everything is perfectly
coordinated, thus preserving
resources and also the
environment.
In case of a malicious attack,
cities could be cut off from
food supplies, citizens held
hostage in their houses, and
the doors of prisons opened.
Digital life coaches
Personal all-around advice:
never again forgetting
appointments or wasting time
with paperwork.
Complete technology
dependence and thus the
associated risk of leading
heteronomous lives because
of manipulated data.
Medical robots
Cheaper operations, reduced
risks of medical malpractice
and wrong diagnosis, no
waiting times at the doctor’s
surgery.
Loss of expert knowledge as
medical education will be
financially less attractive.
Cases of death resulting from
hacked systems.
Military robots
The advantages are obvious –
for those who have the more
powerful robots.
If, in the event of war, you
have no fear of human losses
on your own side, then the
threshold for starting an
aggressive war will be lower.
Augmented Reality
We extend our perceptive
abilities and gain new insights
into ourselves by continuous
life logging.
Total loss of privacy and
dependence on computerized
prostheses in the long run.
Cashless payment solutions
Shopping becomes more
convenient. Tax fraud
becomes impossible so the tax
burden is distributed fairly
and equitably.
Abandoning cash entirely
means, in the event of a
computer breakdown, no
standardized medium of
exchange would be available.
Quantum computers
The opening of amazing
perspectives, especially in the
field of science, e.g. in the
simulation of chemical
elements.
Quantum computing could
pose a serious threat to some
encryption technologies such
as RSA.

Even though a recession is not likely in 2020,
one could occur, triggered by international
trade conflict, overly tight monetary policy,
or by industry-specific or regional factors or
a world war.
Thinking through the risks ahead of time
continues to be invaluable way for founders

Energy is central to nearly every major
challenge and opportunity the world faces in

rethinking the material economy.

“As major networks and studios continue to
launch their own direct-to-consumer
streaming services in 2020, competitors will
likely scramble to offer content libraries
broad enough to both attract and retain
customers.”
According to Kevin Westcott, vice chairman
and Deloitte's US telecommunications,
media, and entertainment leader, Deloitte
LLP, this creates opportunities for media,
and entertainment firms to "re-aggregate"
their content libraries with a wide array of
offerings—from video, music, and gaming
services to ad-supported content.
As a result, many US consumers are growing
frustrated with having to manage and pay
for multiple subscriptions to watch what
they want. Research suggests that
consumers are willing to pay only for a
certain number of streaming services.
US consumers like to avoid
ads: 44 percent say an ad-
free experience is a top
reason they signed up for a
streaming service.

For many of us “male founders” we may not

cover this briefly. Femtech is beyond
reproductive health of a woman. It is
simply a business sector that primarily
addresses the health and wellness needs of
women. It could be equipment, apps,
diagnostics, products and health, beauty,
wellness tech services that appeal to women.
At-home testing grows in 2020 - 2030 as
consumers demand convenience and
affordability
Did you know cost is still the main barrier
to access to fertility treatment. 80% of
people who undergo fertility treatment have
little to no coverage and accrue an average
of $30k in debt to address fertility issues.
Data Bridge, a research firm,
predicts that by 2026 the
booming global fertility
industry could reach $41bn
in sales, from approximately

It will be difficult to predict the companies
to watch for in 2030 however here are some
to watch for in the next couple of years.
One of the best-known contenders to go
public is Airbnb. The online marketplace for
rentals was originally expected to IPO in
2019, but that’s now been pushed 2020. It
also looks to be gearing up for a direct listing,
similar to Spotify (SPOT) and Slack (WORK).
“Airbnb has got a $31 billion private
valuation,” Kathleen Smith, IPO ETF Manager
at Renaissance Capital, pointed out.
Stripe, the fintech startup and rival to Jack
Dorsey’s Square (SQ), could also go public in
2020. The company, which processes online
payments, is valued at a mind-blowing $35
billion, thanks to late-stage investments
from Andreessen Horowitz and Sequoia
Capital. High-profile investors have backed
the company including Elon Musk, Peter
Thiel, and Google’s own CapitalG, according
to Crunchbase.
Droom ranks as India’s largest
online marketplace for buying and
selling used cars, bikes,
motorcycles, scooters, and
airplanes. The company’s founder,
Sandeep Aggarwal, has publicly
stated that Droom plans to list on
the Nasdaq stock exchange in 2021

SoFi also looks like it could launch its IPO in
2020. The millennial-focused financial
services provider has a private valuation of
north of $4 billion, and has venture funding
from the Qatar Investment Authority,
SoftBank, and Silver Lake Partners.
Postmates is also a potential 2020 IPO
candidate. The on-demand delivery services
company filed confidentially to go public as
far back as February, but ultimately chose to
delay its IPO due to the market’s reaction to
tech unicorns like Slack, Lyft (LYFT), and Uber
(UBER), whose stocks got pummeled after
going to market.
Ant Financial is a financial technology
affiliate company of Chinese e-commerce
leader Alibaba (NYSE: BABA). Ant runs the
most popular mobile payment service in
China, Alipay, as well as operating an
investment fund and an online bank plus
offering other financial services. The
company has flirted with an IPO at least
since 2018, but 2020 could be the year for
the Chinese payments giant to make its
move.
