consider
Old
Testament
scriptures
this side of

5. The Holy Spirit dwells in us and
not merely rests upon believers

6. The church has been given power and
authority over the demonic realm

7. Consider 2 Chronicles 20:1-29

8. An alliance of enemies has invaded Judah

9. The king, Jehosophat, prays to
the Lord

10. The Lord responds through His
prophet Jahaziel

11. ... Do not fear or be dismayed because of this great
multitude, for the battle is not yours but God's

12. The people of Judah had a job to
do also

13. They went out, met their enemy and
watched

14. Jesus, in Luke 22:35-38,
encouraged his disciples to have a
sword to do battle

cloak and buy one

more weaponry
at our disposal

22. We have a role to play also

23. Too many
believers do
not
understand
or believe the
reality of
spiritual
warfare

24. They sit back and do nothing and
wait on the Lord only

25. They get angry at Him when He seems to
have abandoned them to calamity

26. We are called to battle, rest in Him and have
peace during the storms and trials
