2. Artist Biography
We decided her name should be Kalisha B because it
suits the R’n’B genre as many artists use original n ames
with the first initail of their surname.
The age of our artists is 22 as after researching we found
many famous R’n’B artists are in their mid 20’s but
because our star is only releasing her debut album we
decided to make her a bit younger. This age also suits the
song as it is about relationships.
We decided our artist should be from Brooklyn, New York
as many R’n’B artists are from the US and this area is
very typical for its ‘hood’ representation and the song suits
this type of image.
3. Costume/Hairstyle/Look: I have decided to dress my artist
in very feminine and stylish clothing. Some of the clothes
may be slightly provocative to suit the R&B genre. We can
see this from the influence of artists such as Rihanna, Keri
Hilson, Kelly Rowland and Beyonce. The artists hair will
be very fashionable. It will be short and we have been by
Keri Hilson through her hairstyles. We will make it very
funky to make her stand out more. We will vary her
clothes throughout the video by having a few outfit
changes so that we can see the real genre of the song
and artist.
Examples of outfits Kalisha will be wearing are, playsuits,
crop tops, heels, skirts etc.
4. Album Title
The original song is from Nicki Minaj’s album named ‘Pink
Friday’ but we decided to call our artists album ‘Dreaming
awake’ as it suits the debut album and it also suits the song
