Introduction
Multimedia is a combination of text, graphic, animation, audio,
and video which are everything we can see and hear in our daily
life (Vaughan, 2006). Multimedia applications can be used in many
areas, for example like educations, businesses, homes and public
places.
It is often use to deliver information which is more powerful than
printed learning resources such as printed text book. It also allows
users to interact with the information quickly and accurately.
Educational multimedia applications enable students to get
information in various formats.
Multimedia applications as power point presentations are used by
teachers and lecturers to convey information in lecture slides for
effective and interesting teaching.

Meaning
 PowerPoint refers specifically to using a Microsoft
Office Program , which enables a person to create
electronic slide based presentations.
 PowerPoint can be used as a tool for teachers to create
visually content rich presentations with multimedia.
 Such software is now one of the most prevalent types
of technology being used in the classroom.

Procedure
Step 1: Open Microsoft PowerPoint.
Step 2: Click on home button on menu bar. Click on
new slide and select a layout from the list for your
slide.

Step 4 : Add a new slide again.
Insert picture and animations as
you like.

Step 5: you can add and format text
 Place the cursor where you want, and type.
 Select the text, and then select an option on
the Home tab: Font, Font
size, Bold, Italic, Underline, ...
 To create bulleted or numbered lists, select the text,
and then select Bullets or Numbering.

TEACHING
 It supports multimedia such as video,audio,images and
animation.
 It can be easily shared with students and colleagues.

been created.
 It is easy to update and to modify to meet the needs of changing
situations.
 Its easy to present concepts with the help of slides because
teacher can use various media in a single presentation effectively.
 It makes teaching effective and learning interesting.
 It helps in proper showcasing of skills through various videos .
 It saves physical resources like pen and paper.

 It can reduce opportunity for classroom interactions by
being the primary method of teaching.
 It can lead to information overload.
 It can minimize the opportunity for creative teaching.
 It can make teaching mechanical.
 It can slow down the teaching process if classroom needs
are not catered properly by the teacher while creating
slides.
 It need some physical resources like proper room or smart
classes.
 It takes time to create a fruitful presentation .

Multimedia applications can be used in many areas, for example like educations, businesses, homes and public places. It is often use to deliver information which is more powerful than printed learning resources such as printed text book. It also allows users to interact with the information quickly and accurately. Educational multimedia applications enable students to get information in various formats. Meaning  PowerPoint refers specifically to using a Microsoft Office Program , which enables a person to create electronic slide based presentations.  PowerPoint can be used as a tool for teachers to create visually content rich presentations with multimedia.  Such software is now one of the most prevalent types of technology being used in the classroom. 3By Diksha Verma
