Universitas Airlangga, as one of the
highly reputable public universities in
Indonesia, is located in Surabaya, the
biggest city in the eastern part of
Indonesia. Surabaya is the commercial
and administrative capital city of East
Java Province; a thriving business and
industrial center and the province’s
main port.
Surabaya is well known as the city of
hero, and strategically is located right in
the center of Indonesia. Travelling from
Surabaya, which has an international
airport, is very convenient since there
are many cities and breath-taking
beautiful tourist destinations that can
be reached easily from Surabaya such as
Mt. Bromo, Yogyakarta, Lombok and
Bali.

AMERTA calls outstanding students to experience an
Indonesian diverse culture and a local East Java atmosphere to
study for one or two semesters. This program is available for
international students who are interested in a number of
uniquely Indonesian perspective subjects in social and cultural
aspects, economics, natural sciences, and health/life sciences.
Inaugurated in , it was successfully conducted for its first
batch. All courses are fully delivered in English, and students
are complimentarily provided with Indonesian language
learning and cultural trips during the programs. Field studies
are compulsory in some courses to integrate theoretical
perspectives into practice.
AMERTA focuses on the current issues of Indonesia as a
developing country in the dynamic nature of globalization
through the perspective of natural, health and social sciences.
For natural and health sciences, they provide the wide array of
knowledge about Indonesian biodiversity in flora and fauna,
the dynamics of tropical medicine, and community
empowerment in health. While with social sciences, they offer
the dynamics of Indonesian urban culture, creative economy,
and society as the sectors that both benefit and suffer from the
impact of globalization.

• Undergraduate Students:
- Who have completed two semesters at home university
- Who have a fair command of English (proven by an
English proficiency certificate: TOEFL ITP , iBT ,
IELTS  with each Band no less than )
- Recommended by the home university as an exchange
student (proven by home university’s officially stamped
documents)
How to Apply
• All required documents below must be submitted both
via air mail and email (scanned documents)
- Fill and submit the application form together with a
passport photo (the form can be downloaded from
IOP website)
- One copy of passport (front page)
- Recommendation Letters (at least one)
- One copy of a university-sealed academic transcript
- One copy of English proficiency evidence

explain cultures of various nations and differentiate or compare working

are due to different cultural background. Furthermore, they are also

culture in Asia. Specifically, Indonesian students are expected to be able
to explain the positive values and the excellence of their own culture.

celebrity over the th century, th, and st. The course examines the
infrastructure of celebrity in relation to education, entertainment, and
politics, the star system of early Hollywood and emerging norms of
publicity, the formation of publics and counter publics through the
example of celebrity.

This course provides a somewhat advanced coverage of the development
and transformation of business enterprise within the global economy by
focusing on the business strategy and dynamics of institutional and
organizational change resulted from today’s globalization process.
This includes the effect of structural, institutional, and organizational
change upon the strategy of the business enterprises for survival and
success in the contemporary hyper-competitive, technology-driven,
fast-paced, uncertain, globalized environment.

Profile of Universitas Airlangga
Established on  November , Universitas Airlangga
(UNAIR) currently has  faculties and one school of
postgraduate, ranging from basic sciences, medicine,
and social sciences. Its vision is to become an
independent and innovative university regionally and
globally, a forerunner of science development,
technology, humanities and arts based on excellent
morality and religions.
For many years, as an institution of higher education,
Universitas Airlangga has always tried to improve the
quality of its education and the supporting facilities in
order to achieve Universitas Airlangga’s vision to
produce the best graduates who are not excellent in
academics but also have good morality. Universitas
Airlangga has  campuses which are located in three
strategic locations in Surabaya, Indonesia.
Campus A, which consists of Faculty of Medicine and
Faculty of Dentistry, has arrays of beautiful Dutch-built
buildings and located right in front of the provincial
hospital, Dr.Sutomo Hospital.
Campus B mainly consists of social science-based
faculties, such as Faculty of Law, Faculty of Economics
and Business, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences,
Faculty of Psychology, and Faculty of Humanities. It also
has one life-science faculty, the Faculty of Pharmacy. On
Campus B, there are several main institutional support
system/units for the university, which are the Central
Library, Post Graduate Programs, and Center for Health
Care.
Campus C, the latest development of Universitas
Airlangga’s site, is where the University Management
Office is located, along with some life-science faculties
such as Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of
Science and Technology , Faculty of Public Health,
Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, Faculty of Nursing, and
several centers, such as Institute of Tropical Disease,
Planning and Development Board, Research and
Community Service Institute, Internal Auditor
Committee, Airlangga University Press, and the
INTERNATIONAL OFFICE and PARTNERSHIP (IOP).

Profile of Universitas Airlangga Established on  November , Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) currently has  faculties and one school of postgraduate, ranging from basic sciences, medicine, and social sciences. Its vision is to become an independent and innovative university regionally and globally, a forerunner of science development, technology, humanities and arts based on excellent morality and religions. For many years, as an institution of higher education, Universitas Airlangga has always tried to improve the quality of its education and the supporting facilities in order to achieve Universitas Airlangga’s vision to produce the best graduates who are not excellent in academics but also have good morality. Universitas Airlangga has  campuses which are located in three strategic locations in Surabaya, Indonesia.
