• GPP means that part of quality assurance that ensures cannabis is consistently produced
and controlled in such a manner to meet strict quality standards.
• All employees must abide by routine sanitation practices. Eliminating pests, minimize the chance
of pests getting into production areas.

Prevent Contamination:
• Careless employee practices can cause product contamination
• The best way to avoid contamination is to prevent it.
• No food or drinks
• Wash and sanitize hands frequently
• No perfume, bathe daily, fingernails are short and clean
6. Definition: Production Areas
• Level 1 Sanitation of GPP Area – Weekly dependence (exception for certain rooms) (Secure and Feedstock)
• Equipment or supplies do not obstruct operation
• Garbage does not have cannabis material present and placed in designated garbage collection
• All contact surfaces must be wiped with ethanol wipes or A.C.N wipes
• Must sweep, vacuum (HEPA filter), and mop
• Level 2 Sanitation of GPP Area – Weekly dependence (throughout production floors)
• Equipment or supplies do not obstruct operation
• Garbage does not have cannabis material present and placed in designated garbage collection
• Ceilings, Walls and Vents must be mopped
• All contact surfaces must be wiped with ethanol wipes or A.C.N wipes
• Must use floor scrubber
• Change over sanitation of GPP Area – changing of lots (throughout production floors)
• Equipment or supplies do not obstruct operation
• Garbage does not have cannabis material present and placed in designated garbage collection
• All contact surfaces must be wiped
• Must sweep, vacuum (HEPA filter), and mop

10. Documentation:
Watch out for…
• Various paperwork revisions and uncontrolled copies left
• Only use the most current updated form
• Blue pens still left inside drawers, use of black pen only
• Paperwork improperly destroyed when transcribed into new form
11. Changeover cleaning and sanitation between
lots
• Includes Grinding, Extraction Purification, Manufacturing, and Packaging room
• Remove all cannabis materials (dry cannabis, concentrate oils) before initiating the cleaning
process
• Placed in a sealed bags for Cannabis Waste-Destruction and Disposal

Do’s Don’ts
Step on disinfectant liquid floor mats before
entering
Don’t step into the plant with dirty shoes.
Throw out hairnets, beard nets and gloves after
each use. Lab coats to be placed in dirty hampers.
Lab coats and hair nets cannot be worn in the locker
rooms or lunchroom .
Dirty dishes and cups to be must be washed right
away.
Leave dirty dishes and cups that are prone for pest.
Clean and sanitize your workstation Don’t wear or leave safety shoes in the locker
rooms
Make sure that safety shoes are out of the way and
not a tripping hazard
Don’t leave shoes on the floor and on top of the
lockers
Clean and sanitize your workstation, Equipment that
is being used must be washed and cleaned right
away after each use
Don’t leave equipment, tools in the sink for
someone else to clean it
If you see garbage on the floor, make sure to pick it
up and throw it away into the garbage bins .
Don’t leave trash on the floor for pest, insects,
rodents.

production areas.

No makeup Don’t wear makeup (mascara, eyeliner,
eyeshadow)
ONLY plain wedding bands will be allowed and
MUST be covered using a GLOVE
Don’t wear jewelry.
Short and clean nails No acrylic, painted, and fake nails
Frequent hand washing from each room
(manufacturing, grinding, purification,
extraction)
Don’t leave nitrile gloves on from production
Use sticky mats that are outside the designated
room when entering. Clean safety shoes twice
a week
Don’t avoid the sticky mats.
Sanitize access card daily and inside the lab
coat while working.
Don’t leave access cards dirty and out that
could cause contamination into the product.
Sanitize electronics (tablets, laptops) that go
into production.
Don’t leave electronics un-sanitized.
If you must touch your face, mask, blow your
nose you MUST GO to the washroom NOT, the
PPE Room to change your mask. Wash and
sanitize your hands.
Don’t blow your nose, touch your face mask
unless in the washroom to change your face
mask. Changing your face mask in the
production area may introduce micro.
