travel tendency.
This could be a conclusion for the International Conference on Creative Tourism that
gathered in Santa Fe (NM), distinguished tourism and urban experts as well as delegates
of UNESCO.
Creative tourism is a new form of discovering a culture in which the visitor takes part in
creative and educational activities during his stay, and this way, has the opportunity to
share enriching experiences with native people. Creative tourism is a sustainable one,
as its main resources are local culture, human relationships and creativity.
Presented within the Santa Fe Conference, Barcelona Creative Tourism pioneering
program aroused great interest of tourism professionals, artists and creative
developers.

participating in a ceramic workshop.

from N.Y. where she lives, in order to
attend a life-drawing course and sketch

Sarah, a young executive from New York
City spent one day of her stay in Barcelona,
learning how to cook Spanish specialities.
Jimmy, a Swedish student, who came to
Barcelona with some friends, to take part in
an artistic glass workshop, and thus, to
discover Catalan modernism art by
experimenting it.
Kisho, soloist of Horace Man Orchestra that,
after its successful concert at Carnegie
Hall, chose Barcelona to perform a cycle of
concerts.
Mark, a student from Louisiana who visits
the city participating in a photography
workshop.
Allysson, a student from Colorado we met
