Aggressive ramp up requirement to enable strategic roll out of ATM platform for a leading financial
institution.
Manual test cases were not up-to-date and contained many duplicates.
Test scripts were failing due to dynamic changes in object properties like Automation Indexes.
QTP was unable to identify few objects such as objects within Flex grids, Combo boxes, Flex lists, Tool
tips etc. due to delegate classes issues.
QTP Object spy was taking more time than expected, while trying to learn the properties of any object
and it’s child
Application response was very slow, resulting in sync issues

eliminating the need for manual validation of application in production environment.
Reduced maintenance cost and test cycle time of manual test by 25% cases by removing redundancy.

productivity is upto the mark at the time of ramp up.

Built a project 101 ramp up plan, adopted shadow technique to ramp up team and met aggressive
ramp up timelines
Reviewed existing 7000 TCs, eliminated redundancy and authored 1000 TCs, thus improving test
coverage. Built a test case indexing matrix and indexed the automation ready test cases.
Used descriptive programming to dynamically learn the objects by getting the child objects using QTP
methods, which solved the index issues.
Dynamically learnt and updated the objects to object repository, to overcome the object identification
issues.
Identified the required delegate classes and suggested the client development team for resolving the
