2. Hello, GABKY Family,
Welcome to the 71st GABKY Pastors’Conference. Our
team is incredibly excited about this year’s events.
Youreventcoordinators,Dr.MichaelRiceandRoszalyn
Akins have worked feverishly to make adequate
accommodations for all of us. The other moderators,
along with Sherry Miles, my administrative assistant,
have given of themselves untiringly to make all things
ready. Our guest preacher, Dr. Tellis Chapman, from
Detroit, and our lecturer, Rev. Chris Wimberly, from
Atlanta, are two that will bless us immensely all this
week.
Substantive classes have been structured by our planning committee
of which Dr. Robert Blythe, BUCLC president, is an intricate part. Each
class will unapologetically have a focus on ministry, including the
contributions of laity. We want every attendee to be enriched by the
scholastic offerings, empowered by the spiritual messages in sermon
and lecture form, , and encouraged by the fellowship of those of a
common calling. Iron does indeed sharpen iron. Let us come together
for a week-long respite from our individual fields of labor to collectively
be rejuvenated for the battles that lie ahead. When we return to our
churches, may it be said of us as was said of Peter and John: “We know
they have been with Jesus!”
Enjoy the week. The moderator’s team and staff are here to serve you.

3. A COMFORTABLE RETIREMENT
IS SOMETHING
EVERYONE SHOULD SINK INTO.
If life itself is a journey, then financial planning is a road on the journey - and one that needs to be carefully
navigated.
At MMBB Financial Services, we’re a ministry that offers, among other services to the religious community,
financial planning - we understand where you need to go as well as where you’re coming from. In other words,
we’re with you every step of the way.
Our benefits consultants will create a plan that is tailored to meet your financial needs - the financial needs
of a pastor, which means affordable benefits. And we’ll help you develop sensible strategies that can lead to a
comfortable retirement - one that is richly deserved.
To find out more, visit us at MMBB.org/journey. Or call 1-800-986-6222.
And by the way, we’re happy to involve wives, husbands, and family members, too, in your financial plan. After
all, it’s not just your financial well-being that we want to help secure.
“I’M A PASTOR, NOT
A FINANCIAL PLANNER.
THANKFULLY, MY
benefits consultant understands me.”
REAL PLANNING, REAL SOLUTIONS. THAT’S OUR CALLING.
