Il progetto NPFP ha sviluppato e applicato nuovi paradigmi di progettazione, costruzione e funzionamento alle macchine e agli impianti per l’industria alimentare: Paradigma 1 (P1): “Progettazione e produzione mediante nuove tecnologie” basato sull’uso integrato di tecnologie produttive a forma finita, nuovi materiali, tecnologie non convenzionali di giunzione (ad esempio incollaggio, Friction Stir Welding.). Paradigma 2 (P2): “Controllo del processo dalle proprietà del prodotto trasformato” basato sull’uso integrato di metodi sperimentali e numerici.

Paradigm 1
• Laboratory scale development of:
- process conditions and joining technologies for elements in AISI 316 / ceramic
made using additive techniques (metal) and HIP (ceramic);
- bonded joints and FSW for the cold construction of AISI 316 steel structures;
- surface roughness of nanometric width by laser treatment, to increase the
hydrophobicity compared to traditional coatings
• Design, manufact. and test of elements on a pilot plant scale with the above techs
Paradigm 2
• Laboratory scale development of:
- CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) models for the design and optimization of
the heat exchange equipment used in the transformation process
- real-time feedback system for the correlation between degree of
homogenization (milk) and signal of the measurement system;
• Design, manufact. and test of elements on a pilot plant scale with the above techs
