ZEUS
Zeus was the "Father of Gods and
  men“, who ruled the Olympians
of Mount Olympus as a father
ruled the family. He was the god
of sky and thunder in Greek
  mythology. His Roman
  counterpart is Jupiter and
  Etruscan counterpart is Tinia.
Zeus was the child of Cronus and
  Rhea.
POSEIDON
Poseidon was the god of the sea,
 and, as "Earth-Shaker," of the
 earthquakes in Greek mythology.
 Neptune and Poseidon both were
 sea gods analogous to Poseidon.
as the brother of Zeus and Hades.
HERA
HERA was the Olympian queen of
the gods and the goddess of
 women and marriage. She was
also a goddess of the sky and
 starry heavens. She was usually
 depicted as a beautiful woman
wearing a crown and holding a
 royal, lotus-tipped staff. She
 married to Zeus
HADES
Hades is the brother of Zeus. He had the worst draw
and was made lord of the underworld, ruling over the
dead. He is a greedy god who is greatly concerned
with increasing his subjects.. He is also the god of
wealth, due to the precious metals that mined from
the earth. He has a helmet that makes him invisible
and he rarely leaves the underworld. He is unpitying
and terrible, but not capricious. His wife is
Persephone whom Hades abducted. He is the King of
the dead but, death itself is another god, Thanatos .
HESTIA
Hestia is Zeus sister. She is a virgin
goddess. She does not have a
 distinct personality. She plays no
part in myths. She is the Goddess of
the Hearth, the symbol of the house
around which a newborn child is
carried before it is received into the
family. Each city had a public hearth
sacred to Hestia, where the fire was
 never allowed to go out.
ARES
Ares is the son of Zeus and Hera. Both
parents disliked him. He is the god
of war and he is considered
  murderous and bloodstained but,
also a coward. When he was caught
in an act of adultery with Aphrodite,
  her husband Hephaestus publicly
ridiculed him. His bird is the
vulture. His animal is the dog.
ATENEA
Athena is the daughter of Zeus. She is fierce
and brave in battle but only fights to
protect the state and home from outside
enemies. She is the goddess of the city,
   handicrafts, and agriculture. She has
invented the bridle, which permits man to
tame horses, the trumpet, the flute, the
pot, the rake, the yoke, the ship, and the
chariot. She is the embodiment of wisdom,
reason, and purity. She is Zeus's favourite
child and she is allowed to use his
   weapons including his thunderbolt. Her
favourite city is Athens. Her tree is the
olive and the owl is her bird. She is a
   virgin goddess.
APOLLO
Apollo is the son of Zeus and Leto. His twin
sister is Artemis. He is the god of music,
playing a golden lyre, of light and truth, who
can not tell a lie. One of Apollo's more
important daily tasks is to harness his
chariot with four horses and drive the sun
across the sky. He is famous for his oracle at
Delphi and people use to travel to it from all
over the Greek world to divine the future. His
tree is the laurel, his bird is the crow and his
  animal is the dolphin
APHRODITE
Aphrodite is the goddess of love, desire and
beauty. In addition to her natural gifts
she has a magical girdle that compels
anyone she wishes to desire her. There
are two accounts of her birth. One says
she is the daughter of Zeus and Dione.
The other goes back to when Cronus
castrated Uranus and tossed his severed
genitals into the sea. Aphrodite then
arose from the sea foam on a giant
scallop and walked to shore in Cyprus.
She is the wife of Hephaestus. The myrtle
is her tree, the dove, the swan, and the
             sparrow are her birds.
HERMES
Hermes is the son of Zeus and
  Maia. He is Zeus’s messenger.
He is the fastest of the gods.
  He wears winged sandals, a
  winged hat, and carries a
magic wand. He is the god of
  thieves and commerce. He is
the guide for the dead to go to
  the underworld. He invented
the lyre, the pipes, the musical
  scale, astronomy, weights and
  measures, boxing, gymnastics,
and the care of olive trees.
ARTEMIS
Artemis is the daughter of Zeus and Leto.
Her twin brother is Apollo. She is the lady
of the wild things. She is the huntsman of
the gods. She is the protector of the
young. Like Apollo she hunts with silver
arrows. She is a virgin goddess, and the
goddess of chastity. She also presides
over childbirth, which may seem odd for a
virgin, but goes back to cause Leto no
pain when she was born. She became
associated with Hecate. The cypress is
her tree. All wild animals are scared to
  her and especially the deer.
HEPHAESTUS
Hephaestus is the son of Zeus and Hera.
Sometimes it is said that Hera alone
produced him and that he has no father. He
is the only god who is physically ugly and
lame. Accounts as how he became lame vary.
Some say that Hera, upset by having an ugly
child, flung him from Mount Olympus into the
sea, breaking his legs. Others that he took
Hera's side in an argument with Zeus and
Zeus flung him off Mount Olympus. He is the
god of fire and the forge. He is the smith and
armourer of the gods. He uses a volcano as
his forge. He is the patron god of both smiths
and weavers. He is kind and peace loving.
His wife is Aphrodite. Sometimes his wife is
  identified as Aglaia.
THE ATLANTIS
Atlantis is a legendary island first mentioned in
Plato's dialogues Timaeus and Critias, written
about 360 BC. The most ancient civilization.
According to Plato, Atlantis was a naval power
lying "in front of the Pillars of Hercules" ( may be
The Stretch of Gibraltar, Spain) that conquered
many parts of Western Europe and Africa 9,000
years before the time of Solon, or approximately
9600 BC. After a failed attempt to invade
Athens, Atlantis sank into the ocean "in a single
day and night of misfortune".
THE FALL OF ATLANTIS
Atlantis was the most ancient civilization. A
  perfect society, described in Plato's
Republic. The kingdoms of the Atlantis were
forming a federation governed across laws,
which were written in a column of Oricalco, in
the Temple of Poseidon. The principal laws
were those who were arranging that the
different kings had to help mutually, not
stuff some to others and to take the
decisions relating to the war, and other
common activities, as a consensus and under
the direction of the race of Atlas
THE FALL OF ATLANTIS
Every five and six years, the kings were
meeting to take agreements and to
judge and to sanction to whom of
between them they had broken the
procedure that The justice and the
virtue were own of the government of
the Atlantis, but when the divine
nature of the kings descendants from
  Poseidon met diminished, the proud
  and the anxieties of domination
  became typical of the atlantes.
THE FALL OF ATLANTIS
According to the Timeo, began a
 politics of expansion that led
them to controlling the peoples of
 Lybia (understood traditionally as
the north of Africa) up to Egypt
and of Europe, up to Tirrenia
 (understood traditionally as Italy).
When they tried to submit Greece
and Egypt, they were defeated by
 the Athenians.
THE FALL OF ATLANTIS
The Critias said that the gods decided to
punish the Atlanteans for their pride, but the
story is interrupted at the time of Zeus and
other gods meet to determine the penalty.
However, usually it is usually assumed that
the punishment was a great earthquake and
subsequent flooding that wiped out the
island in the sea where he was the principal
city or kingdom, "a terrible day and night,"
  according to the Timaeus dialogue.
The islands of Santorini, islands such as Sardinia,
Crete and Santorini, Sicily, Cyprus, and Malta; land-
based cities or states such as Troy, Tartessos, and
Tantalus (in the province of Manisa), Turkey; Israel-Sinai
or Canaan; and northwestern Africa.
In the Atlantic Ocean and EuropeIn 2011 have found
evidence of the city in the Doñana National Park mud
flats in South Western Andalucía.
The location of Atlantis in the Atlantic the sunken
island in northern Europe, including Doggerland in the
North Sea, and Sweden (by Olof Rudbeck in Atland,
1672–1702). Some have proposed the Celtic Shelf as a
possible locations, and that there is a link to Ireland.

THE HYPOTHESES OF ATLANTIS
        PLACE

The Canary Islands and Madeira Islands have also been
identified as a possible location, west of the Straits of
Gibraltar but in relative proximity to the Mediterranean
Sea. Various islands or island groups in the Atlantic
were also identified as possible locations, notably the
Azores.
Other locations Several writers have speculated that
Antarctica is the site of Atlantis while others have
proposed Caribbean locations such as Batabano Bay in
the south of Cuba, the Bahamas, and the Bermuda
Triangle
OLYMPUS PLACE IN
                 USA
Olympus was regarded as the “The home" of
the Twelve Olympus Gods of the ancient
Greek world. It formed itself after the gods
defeated the titans in the Titan War, and
soon the palace was inhabited by the gods.
It is the setting of many Greek mythical
  stories.
It moved to the East and the Olympian Gods
and all the Greek magic palaces moved as
well. After having been investigated, I
came to a conclusion, Olympus is in USA
right know in the center of the Earth.
OLYMPUS PLACE IN USA
Tomás opinion “It was said Olympus to be
in Spain centuries ago, because it was a
wealthy country, where the sun never
went down and the America was
 discovered later.”
“Where are the Gods Oliypus right now? I
think it is on the top of the Empire State
Building in New York, where The God
  Zeus controls his kindom”
TARTARUS
“Hades, The God of the
  Dead and the underworld
lives on the other side of
  the Oliympus, far from
  Zeus in California, and
  the underworld is called
  Tartarus, which is placed
  in San Francisco Falls,
  where many people have
  died.”
OLYMPUS PLACE
“It is said Poseidon, the king of the ocean,
to live in Miami Beach, where bad things
  happen: hurricanes , tsunamis and
  earthquakes, tornados produced by him.
The other interesting thing I also
discovered is in old Greece stories there
was always a sea monster. It lives in the
Bermuda Triangle where many ships and
  planes disappeared.”

The Mythical Land of Atlantis According to Ancient Greek Texts

  • 1. S I S D N T O A G L E K AT R E E G T H
  • 2. ZEUS Zeus was the "Father of Gods and men“, who ruled the Olympians of Mount Olympus as a father ruled the family. He was the god of sky and thunder in Greek mythology. His Roman counterpart is Jupiter and Etruscan counterpart is Tinia. Zeus was the child of Cronus and Rhea.
  • 3. POSEIDON Poseidon was the god of the sea, and, as "Earth-Shaker," of the earthquakes in Greek mythology. Neptune and Poseidon both were sea gods analogous to Poseidon. as the brother of Zeus and Hades.
  • 4. HERA HERA was the Olympian queen of the gods and the goddess of women and marriage. She was also a goddess of the sky and starry heavens. She was usually depicted as a beautiful woman wearing a crown and holding a royal, lotus-tipped staff. She married to Zeus
  • 5. HADES Hades is the brother of Zeus. He had the worst draw and was made lord of the underworld, ruling over the dead. He is a greedy god who is greatly concerned with increasing his subjects.. He is also the god of wealth, due to the precious metals that mined from the earth. He has a helmet that makes him invisible and he rarely leaves the underworld. He is unpitying and terrible, but not capricious. His wife is Persephone whom Hades abducted. He is the King of the dead but, death itself is another god, Thanatos .
  • 6. HESTIA Hestia is Zeus sister. She is a virgin goddess. She does not have a distinct personality. She plays no part in myths. She is the Goddess of the Hearth, the symbol of the house around which a newborn child is carried before it is received into the family. Each city had a public hearth sacred to Hestia, where the fire was never allowed to go out.
  • 7. ARES Ares is the son of Zeus and Hera. Both parents disliked him. He is the god of war and he is considered murderous and bloodstained but, also a coward. When he was caught in an act of adultery with Aphrodite, her husband Hephaestus publicly ridiculed him. His bird is the vulture. His animal is the dog.
  • 8. ATENEA Athena is the daughter of Zeus. She is fierce and brave in battle but only fights to protect the state and home from outside enemies. She is the goddess of the city, handicrafts, and agriculture. She has invented the bridle, which permits man to tame horses, the trumpet, the flute, the pot, the rake, the yoke, the ship, and the chariot. She is the embodiment of wisdom, reason, and purity. She is Zeus's favourite child and she is allowed to use his weapons including his thunderbolt. Her favourite city is Athens. Her tree is the olive and the owl is her bird. She is a virgin goddess.
  • 9. APOLLO Apollo is the son of Zeus and Leto. His twin sister is Artemis. He is the god of music, playing a golden lyre, of light and truth, who can not tell a lie. One of Apollo's more important daily tasks is to harness his chariot with four horses and drive the sun across the sky. He is famous for his oracle at Delphi and people use to travel to it from all over the Greek world to divine the future. His tree is the laurel, his bird is the crow and his animal is the dolphin
  • 10. APHRODITE Aphrodite is the goddess of love, desire and beauty. In addition to her natural gifts she has a magical girdle that compels anyone she wishes to desire her. There are two accounts of her birth. One says she is the daughter of Zeus and Dione. The other goes back to when Cronus castrated Uranus and tossed his severed genitals into the sea. Aphrodite then arose from the sea foam on a giant scallop and walked to shore in Cyprus. She is the wife of Hephaestus. The myrtle is her tree, the dove, the swan, and the sparrow are her birds.
  • 11. HERMES Hermes is the son of Zeus and Maia. He is Zeus’s messenger. He is the fastest of the gods. He wears winged sandals, a winged hat, and carries a magic wand. He is the god of thieves and commerce. He is the guide for the dead to go to the underworld. He invented the lyre, the pipes, the musical scale, astronomy, weights and measures, boxing, gymnastics, and the care of olive trees.
  • 12. ARTEMIS Artemis is the daughter of Zeus and Leto. Her twin brother is Apollo. She is the lady of the wild things. She is the huntsman of the gods. She is the protector of the young. Like Apollo she hunts with silver arrows. She is a virgin goddess, and the goddess of chastity. She also presides over childbirth, which may seem odd for a virgin, but goes back to cause Leto no pain when she was born. She became associated with Hecate. The cypress is her tree. All wild animals are scared to her and especially the deer.
  • 13. HEPHAESTUS Hephaestus is the son of Zeus and Hera. Sometimes it is said that Hera alone produced him and that he has no father. He is the only god who is physically ugly and lame. Accounts as how he became lame vary. Some say that Hera, upset by having an ugly child, flung him from Mount Olympus into the sea, breaking his legs. Others that he took Hera's side in an argument with Zeus and Zeus flung him off Mount Olympus. He is the god of fire and the forge. He is the smith and armourer of the gods. He uses a volcano as his forge. He is the patron god of both smiths and weavers. He is kind and peace loving. His wife is Aphrodite. Sometimes his wife is identified as Aglaia.
  • 15. Atlantis is a legendary island first mentioned in Plato's dialogues Timaeus and Critias, written about 360 BC. The most ancient civilization. According to Plato, Atlantis was a naval power lying "in front of the Pillars of Hercules" ( may be The Stretch of Gibraltar, Spain) that conquered many parts of Western Europe and Africa 9,000 years before the time of Solon, or approximately 9600 BC. After a failed attempt to invade Athens, Atlantis sank into the ocean "in a single day and night of misfortune".
  • 16. THE FALL OF ATLANTIS Atlantis was the most ancient civilization. A perfect society, described in Plato's Republic. The kingdoms of the Atlantis were forming a federation governed across laws, which were written in a column of Oricalco, in the Temple of Poseidon. The principal laws were those who were arranging that the different kings had to help mutually, not stuff some to others and to take the decisions relating to the war, and other common activities, as a consensus and under the direction of the race of Atlas

THE FALL OF ATLANTIS Every five and six years, the kings were meeting to take agreements and to judge and to sanction to whom of between them they had broken the procedure that The justice and the virtue were own of the government of the Atlantis, but when the divine nature of the kings descendants from Poseidon met diminished, the proud and the anxieties of domination became typical of the atlantes.
  • 18. THE FALL OF ATLANTIS According to the Timeo, began a politics of expansion that led them to controlling the peoples of Lybia (understood traditionally as the north of Africa) up to Egypt and of Europe, up to Tirrenia (understood traditionally as Italy). When they tried to submit Greece and Egypt, they were defeated by the Athenians.
  • 19. THE FALL OF ATLANTIS The Critias said that the gods decided to punish the Atlanteans for their pride, but the story is interrupted at the time of Zeus and other gods meet to determine the penalty. However, usually it is usually assumed that the punishment was a great earthquake and subsequent flooding that wiped out the island in the sea where he was the principal city or kingdom, "a terrible day and night," according to the Timaeus dialogue.

  • 24. OLYMPUS PLACE IN USA Olympus was regarded as the “The home" of the Twelve Olympus Gods of the ancient Greek world. It formed itself after the gods defeated the titans in the Titan War, and soon the palace was inhabited by the gods. It is the setting of many Greek mythical stories. It moved to the East and the Olympian Gods and all the Greek magic palaces moved as well. After having been investigated, I came to a conclusion, Olympus is in USA right know in the center of the Earth.
  • 25. OLYMPUS PLACE IN USA Tomás opinion “It was said Olympus to be in Spain centuries ago, because it was a wealthy country, where the sun never went down and the America was discovered later.” “Where are the Gods Oliypus right now? I think it is on the top of the Empire State Building in New York, where The God Zeus controls his kindom”
  • 26. TARTARUS “Hades, The God of the Dead and the underworld lives on the other side of the Oliympus, far from Zeus in California, and the underworld is called Tartarus, which is placed in San Francisco Falls, where many people have died.”
  • 27. OLYMPUS PLACE “It is said Poseidon, the king of the ocean, to live in Miami Beach, where bad things happen: hurricanes , tsunamis and earthquakes, tornados produced by him. The other interesting thing I also discovered is in old Greece stories there was always a sea monster. It lives in the Bermuda Triangle where many ships and planes disappeared.”
