The client, Taylor's Lakeside University Campus, wants to build a musical theater on a 50m x 50m area in the middle of their campus lake. A 10m x 10m water platform will be constructed in the lake, connected to the shore by a bridge. The project aims to cut costs by providing a formal performance stage and encouraging talent. 2. 1. INTRODUCTION
1.1 Project background
Taylor’s Lakeside University Campus (here in after the “client”) is desirous to build a musical
theater at the middle of the lake. The site of the proposed musical theater sits on estimating
50m x 50m area of the existing land.
There will be a water platform constructed in the middle of the lake between commercial block
and the educational block of Taylors Lakeside University campus. The platform will with the size
of 10x10m . There will be a bridge/ walk way connecting the side of the lake to the platform

-cut cost as the management of taylor’s lakeside campus do not have to fork out money
to rent stages, tents as well as the pa system
-it benefit taylor’s lakeside campus as we do not have a formal and propal performance
stage
- on the other hand, it is able to promote or also encourage the performing arts club to
perform more as many talented people are pretty shy to show out their talent

3. 2.1 SITE LOCATION
The project site is located in middle of the lake of Taylor’s Lakeside University, and
comes under the local council of Majlis Perbandaran Subang Jaya.
2.2 SITE CONDITIONS
The site is currently not under any construction and the water at the lake is calm and it is
regularly treated thou the lake is under-utilized by the client.
3.0 SCOPE OF PROJECT
3.1 The scopes of works consist of the following:
Civil and structural (external works) for the water platform of the musical theatre of
the middle of the lake. The infra works consist of earthwork, water reticulation,
sewerage, drainage, storm water treatment device, all walk way and landscaping
works.
Walkway/bridge that connects from the side of the lake to the platform.
Edit on the side walkway to a multipurpose stairways( for walkway + seating)
4.0 OVERALL SCOPE OF WORK
4.1 ARCHTECT
DESIGN THE OVERALL STRUCTURE OF THE MUSICAL THEATRE AND DECIDE ON SELECTED
MATERIALS TO USE THROUGHOUT THE PROJECT.
4.2 ENGINEER
PLAN THE earthwork, water reticulation, sewerage, drainage, all walk way and
landscaping works of the project.
4.3 QUANTITY SURVEYOR
ESTIMATE THE COST OF THE OVERALL PROJECT AND PREPARE ALL THE CONTRACTS BETWEEN
THE CLIENT AND THE CONSTRUCTION TEAM.
4. 4.4 LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT
DESIGN THE OVERALL SITE LAYOUT of the public spaces and managing the storm water
devices

DELIVER THE PROJECT TO CLIENT’S REQUIREMENTS THAT IS TO THE BRIEF, BUDGET AND
