Dr. Awais e Siraj’s most recent assignment was in Prime Minister’s
Performance Delivery Unit as Team Leader whose core function was
to bring a paradigm shift in the standard of governance, ensure timely
implementation of development projects revolving around priority
areas of the Prime Minister, facilitate in managing leadership-level
relationships, structure work streams for large and complex teams and
continuously evaluate progress and suggest corrective actions where
required, using various performance measurement methodologies.
Awais received his training and education in Pakistan, United Kingdom,
USA, France, Germany, Lebanon, Malaysia and Singapore. He holds a
Masters’ Degree in Business Management (MBA) and Social Sciences
(MSocSc) from University of Strathclyde, Glasgow and University of
Leicester, UK respectively. In his corporate career, he rose to the level
of Country Sales Manager with Boston Scientifics’ regional office
in Beirut in 2006 after a width of experience across all functions in
the industry. In 2007, he chose to become an academic, coach and
consultant in independent capacity as well as in association with
leading academic institutions.
Dr. Awais had a keen interest in vision 2025 and 100 day agenda of
government and has lately worked on it using the Balanced Scorecard
methodology as a performance measurement and strategy execution
tool. In his tenure at the Prime Minister’s Office, he has worked on
Utility Stores Revamp, Performance Contracting (11 Ministries), Power
Projects (Coal, Hydro), Gwadar Port, Economic Reforms (Improvement
in Ease of Doing Business Indicators and Global Competitiveness
Index).
