Notice for Bids # 43
Federal Urdu University of Arts Science & technology intends to purchase Computer Hardware
Under establishment budget 2012-2013 form reputed IT related firms in Islamabad.
Tender documents (i.e. Bid No 43 for 5 x electronic Boards, 5 x Workstations,4 laptops, 5
Webcams & 3 Speaker systems & 10 Routers) can be purchased from the office of undersigned
during the office hours by submitting a written request on the letterhead, along with Cash/Pay
order or Bank Draft amounting to Rs.1000/- (Non-Refundable) in the favor of FUUAST,
Islamabad. Interested bidders may submit their bids in the office of undersigned, on or before
1100 hours on 27th March 2012 positively and bids will be opened by the Purchase Committee-III
on the same day at 1130 hours in the presence of bidders or their nominated agents, who may
care to be present.
The bids containing less earnest money shall not be entertained. The payment of all taxes is the
responsibility of the firm. FUUAST may reject all bids prior to the acceptance of a bid. FUUAST
reserves the rights to decrease OR increase the quantity. FUUAST may (upon request)
communicate to any supplier who submitted a bid, the grounds for its rejection of bid, but is not
required to justify those grounds.
Notes:
i.
Bidder must submit tender duly signed on prescribed form, otherwise bid shall be
considered as Non-Responsive.
ii.
Incorrect information of any sort shall make the firm liable for debarring from this
contract in FUUAST even after award of the supply order. Offer with any overwriting shall not be
accepted in any case.
iii.
Attach detail of similar items supplied (if any) to FUUAST or other government
department in last 2 years.
iv.
Bidders must attach attested photocopy of the NIT Number and GST Certificates.
v.
Undertaking that the firm is not previously blacklisted by any government/semi
government or private organization.
vi.
Pay order /Bank draft equal to 2% of the bid price as Earnest money, which will be
released after the supply and acceptance of items.
vii.
Warranty period should be mentioned clearly in the bid application form
viii. The bidders may be asked to give technical presentation and (if required) will be liable to
bring up their product at their own risk and cost.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Instruction to Bidders:
i.
General: Sealed bids are invited through PPRA’s and NHA’s website for the purchase of
Computer hardware, from reputed IT related firms. The supplies are to be delivered in the
office of Director (MIS), FUUAST, Islamabad.
ii.
Bill of quantities: The Bidder may quote for all or any item showing description and
specification
iii.
Date & time of submission: The tenders shall be received till 11:00 on 27th March, 2012
and shall be opened publically at 11:30 on the same day in the presence of bidders or their
nominated agents, who may care to be present.
iv.
Prebid Meeting: A Prebid meeting is scheduled to be held in the office of Director (MIS) on
20th March 2012 at 1100 hrs.
v.
Change in quantities: FUUAST intends to procure the items as per requirement
and reserves the right to increase/decrease quantities. It will be the responsibility of the
supplier/contractor to deliver the item on time and change defective items. Item(s) supplied by
successful bidder should be wholesome and include all the basic accessories. The additional
accessories may be included separately.
vi.
Mode of payment: The minimum period of payment will be 15 days from the date of
receipt of bills/invoices and after delivery of items found satisfactory in every aspect and
inspection.
vii.
NTN/GST certificate: Bidders must be registered with GST and NTN.
Bidders must mention their National Tax registration Number (NTN) and General Sales Tax
(GST) number and furnish attested copy of NTN and GST certificate along with tender.
viii. Tax deduction: As per CBR Rules, Income Tax will be deducted from the total amount
unless an exemption certificate is provided from the income tax department. Contractor/supplier
will also have to disburse GST on total supply as per rules.
ix.
Acceptance/rejection: FUUAST may (upon request) communicate the grounds for
rejection of bid(s), but is not required to justify those grounds.
