35. As per Mayamatam (c.10) space should be reserved
between a town and its suburban for Educational
institutes . The space should have farms and
gardens near to it.

36. As per Manu Smruti, the teacher should teach his
students four things,
1. Shouch- Cleanliness of body as well as the
surrounding area.
2. Aachar- Principles of daily rituals.
3. Agnikarm – Use of fire and its properties.
4. Sandhupaasan – How to remain neutral in debates or
fights.

face of deities in the temples.

42. Facing directions of deities
As per Vastu Vidya, angry faced deities
(Narsimha) should be towards west. But
smiley faced deities(VishNu) should face
towards east.

43. Manushyalaya Chandrika specifies that,
•The house should not be taller than a temple.
•Before raising the height of a house, the height of
temple should be increased first.

developed in India. Where as it was established in
other countries after 200 B.C.
2. Indian town planning was based on secularism,
environment protect awareness and mutual
relations.
3. Certain aspects of ancient town planning such as
Protective walls, security gates, moats etc have
