1. Four researchers - Abdulllah Alsayed, Mata Balashari, Ahmad Obaid, and Abdulaziz Almansori - from Al-Bairaq explored composite materials and designed projects using composites.
2. They tested the strength of different types of ice and composites. They also explored how strength and stiffness differ in materials.
3. For their final project, they designed composite covers for bags using silica nanoparticles, polypropylene fibers, and silicone rubber to improve the tensile strength and protect bags from damage.

3. INTRODUCTION
A Composite is a combination of two or more visibly
distinct materials that are mixed or bonded together to from
a unique identifiable material with improved properties over
those of matrix and constituent materials

-strength relates to the maximum

We tested different samples of
foam beams for strength and
stiffness by clamping them to
the table and hanging weights
to the beams and measure their
deflection

• Design project : Designing a fishing pole
We designed a fishing pole and choose different materials
in order for the fishing pole to be strong , flexible , and have
a light weight
8. BAGS COMPOSITE COVER
INTRODUCTION (المقدمة)
We all suffer from rupture of bags which make the bag
useless unless it is fixed, and sometimes the fixing process
can be very tedious to do. In our projects we designed
composite covers for the bags to protect it from damage.
Making composite material using Silica Nano particles,
polypropylene fibers to reinforce silicon rubber improve the
tensile strength of silicon rubber thus making the bags
stronger

AIM OF THE PROJECT (المشروع من الهدف)
The aim of this project is to protect the bags
from damage by making covers made from
composite silica Nano particles,
polypropylene fibers and silicon rubber.

HYPOTHESIS (الفرضية)
Making bag covers from silica Nano
particles and polypropylene fibers and
silicone rubber in making the covers will help
making the bags stronger

METHODS AND MATERIALS
Nanoparticles of silica and Polypropylene fibers are used
as a reinforcements of silicone rubber.
To prepare composite, silica and of Polypropylene fibers
were simultaneously mixed with silicone rubber.

RESULTS (النتائج)
• Presence of reinforcements improves tensile
strength of silicone rubber as a result of the
interaction of silicone chains with Nano
particles and fibers.
• The composite material made from silica
Nano particles and polypropylene fibers helps
in providing stability and strength to the bag
it covers, and protected the bag and it is
content.

RECOMMENDATIONS (التوصيات)
We recommend that more research
should be done to find more materials
that can add more properties and
enhancements to the composite
material
14. CONCLUSIONS
Composite materials have versatile properties
and can be used to solve many problems,
through our project we have been able to design
a cover to protect the bags from damage.
