The Myanmar military and police have committed widespread atrocities against the Rohingya such as killings, rapes, and burning of villages, forcing over 900,000 Rohingya to flee to refugee camps in Bangladesh. 3. While Bangladesh has provided humanitarian aid, the international community needs to apply pressure on Myanmar to grant the Rohingya citizenship and ensure safe conditions for their return.
