5. Equipments
LM 386 op amp IC chip.
1000 microfarad capacitors (2 Pieces)
100 microfarad capacitor(1 Piece)
8 ohm speaker
9 volt battery
Jack socket & Jack pin
Project board or breadboard
Some connecting wire.
6. Goals
The voice amplifier is used to provide loud, clear
output required for high quality voice.
It has a line input jack that can be connected to the
output of speech generating device for adequate
sound levels in noisy environtments.
7. Connections
Plug in your op amp and add a
wire from pin 6 to power and a
wire from pin 4 to ground.
Plug another wire from pin 2 to
ground and plug your jack socket
into pin 3.
Plug your 1000 microfarad
capacitor's positive side into pin 7
and the negative side into ground.
Plug one your another 1000
microfarad capacitor's positive
side into pin 1 and the negative
side into pin 8.
8. The other 100 microfarad capacitor's positive side into
pin 5 and the negative side into a blank space on your
board.
Plug your speaker's positive side to the last capacitor's
negative side and the negative side of your speaker to
ground.
Plug in your battery's terminals to their respective rails.
9. How it works
An amplifier convert low input into high gain.
The input obviously goes to 2 & 3.
Pin 2 is input(-) & pin 3 is input(+).
As pin 3 is input(+) so it is a non-inverting amplifier &
the output will be always greater.
When we give signal to the pin 3 the gain will be
achieved in pin 1 & 8.
After amplifying the output will be noticed in pin 5.
