2. About SATPALDA(ESTD. 2002) Strategic Advanced Technology Products and Linkages Development Agency (SATPALDA) is a leading provider of satellite imagery and GeoSpatial services to the user community. Established in 2002, SATPALDA has successfully completed wide range of photogrammetric and Remote Sensing Projects. Our cost effective solutions cater to broad spectrum of Government and Private Users. The USP of SATPALDA ‘s services is the unique blend of experience and cost effectiveness. Presently SATPALDA is working on projects spreading over South/South- East Asia, Africa and Europe.
9. Recent Projects Building Footprint and Height extraction over various cities in Africa. Building height extraction using Ikonos stereo satellte images
10. Recent Projects Creation of Land Cover database using TerraSAR-X imagery. Effective use of technology to address mapping issues arising due to weather conditions. The Land-Cover map (on the left) created using TerraSAR-X imagery acquired over a persistently cloud covered part of Indonesia. Mapping using Optical imagery often fails in such areas mostly due to heavy cloud cover throughout the year.
11. Recent Projects LIDAR data processing: classification of point clouds Circular silo roofs extracted from LIDAR data after performing height-based classification of features. LIDAR data consists of dense collection of points collected by Aerial survey using Light Detection And Ranging technology.
12. Recent Projects Generation of Digital Terrain Model(DTM) over an area in Malawi DTM constructed using WorldView-1 Stereo-pair imagery for an area in Malawi. At post-spacing of 1m, this is a highly accurate depiction of really terrain morphology. Height information at such micro scale has helped mining engineers in preparing detail site plans. info@imageryservices.com
16. SATPALDA Ortho Series What is Orthorectification? Orthorectification is the process of removing the distortion within an image caused by terrain relief and the camera. This is done by modeling the nature and magnitude of geometric distortions in the imagery. Is it really important. Why not use standard imagery? Orthorectification is extremely important step for removing the distortion, especially in hilly terrain. See the next slide:
