Family farms, where family members work the land themselves, still survive globally but family farmers are often neglected. The document calls for policies that ensure family farmers' access to and control over natural resources like land, water and seeds. It also promotes preserving sustainable agricultural practices used by family farmers and ensuring youth and women's roles in farming are recognized. The overall goal is a hunger-free world by 2025.
