Revenues at Chrysalis Radio for the half-year ended 28 February 2006 were
down 4% on a like-for-like basis, compared to the sector decline of 8% for the
same period. The company said that trading in March and April was “much
improved” and expected to show 10% growth on a like-for-like basis.
Richard Huntingford, group chief executive, said: “The out-performance of both
our radio and music divisions, against their respective peers during the year to
date, confirms that the benefits of our strategy of focusing on these two strong
businesses are coming through as planned.”
