2.2. Learn the value of what is given,Learn the value of what is given,
do not take any of these favoursdo not take any of these favours
for granted.for granted.
3.3. Utilize what is given inUtilize what is given in
accordance to what may pleaseaccordance to what may please
the Giver (i.e. do not abuse thethe Giver (i.e. do not abuse the
gift), so as not to cause His wrathgift), so as not to cause His wrath
to befall us.to befall us.

Sustainer! Ultimate goodSustainer! Ultimate good awaits those who per-severe inawaits those who per-severe in
doing good in this worlddoing good in this world..
And [remember:] wide is Allah’s earth, [and,] verily, theyAnd [remember:] wide is Allah’s earth, [and,] verily, they
who are patient in adversity (who are patient in adversity (SWSWOBIRUNOBIRUN) will be given) will be given
their reward in full, beyond all reckoning!’”their reward in full, beyond all reckoning!’”

Say [O Muhammad]: “Behold, I am bidden to (A’-BUD) worship
(serve) Allah, sincere in my faith in Him alone (MUKHLISAN); and
I am bidden to be foremost among (AL-MUSLIMEEN) those who
surrender themselves unto Allah.”
(Qur’an: Az-Zumar: 39: 12)

Say: “Behold, I wouldSay: “Behold, I would dread, were I to rebel against mydread, were I to rebel against my
SustainerSustainer, the suffering [which would befall me] on that, the suffering [which would befall me] on that
awesomeawesome Day [of JudgmentDay [of Judgment].”].”

Say: “Allah alone do I worship (and serve),Say: “Allah alone do I worship (and serve), being sincerebeing sincere in myin my
faith in Him alone – (faith in Him alone – (MUMUKHKHLISAN- LAHU-DEENILISAN- LAHU-DEENI))

and [it is up to you, O sinners, to] worship whatever youand [it is up to you, O sinners, to] worship whatever you
please instead of Him!”please instead of Him!”
Say: “Behold, the [true] losers will be they who shallSay: “Behold, the [true] losers will be they who shall
have lost their own selves and their kith and kin onhave lost their own selves and their kith and kin on
Resurrection Day:Resurrection Day: for is not this, this, the [most] obviousfor is not this, this, the [most] obvious
loss?loss?““

““Clouds of fire will they have above them, and [similar]Clouds of fire will they have above them, and [similar]
clouds beneath them…”clouds beneath them…”
In this way does Allah imbue His servants with fearIn this way does Allah imbue His servants with fear
((KHKHAUFAUF).).
O you servants of Mine (O you servants of Mine (YAA- ‘IBAADIYAA- ‘IBAADI) ! Be, then,) ! Be, then,
conscious of Me – (conscious of Me – (FATTAQUNFATTAQUN)”)”

““seeing that for those whoseeing that for those who shun the powers of evilshun the powers of evil
lest they [be tempted to] worship themlest they [be tempted to] worship them, and turn unto, and turn unto
Allah instead, there is the glad tiding [of happiness inAllah instead, there is the glad tiding [of happiness in
the life to come].the life to come].
Give, then, this glad tiding to [those of] My servants”Give, then, this glad tiding to [those of] My servants”

““THOSE (THOSE (YAS-TAMI-’UU-NA-QAWLYAS-TAMI-’UU-NA-QAWL)) who listenwho listen
[closely] to all that is said,[closely] to all that is said, and (and (FAYAT-TA-BI-’UUNAFAYAT-TA-BI-’UUNA))
follow the best of itfollow the best of it: [for] it is they whom Allah has: [for] it is they whom Allah has
graced with His guidance (graced with His guidance (HADA-HUMULLAHHADA-HUMULLAH), and it), and it
is they who are [truly] endowed with insight (is they who are [truly] endowed with insight (ULUL-ULUL-
AL-BABAL-BAB)!”)!”

““On the other hand, could one on whom [Allah’s] sentenceOn the other hand, could one on whom [Allah’s] sentence
of suffering has been passed [be rescued by man]?of suffering has been passed [be rescued by man]?
Couldst thou, perchance, save one who is [already, as itCouldst thou, perchance, save one who is [already, as it
were,] in the fire?”were,] in the fire?”

As against this, they who of their Sustainer are conscious (As against this, they who of their Sustainer are conscious (TAQWATAQWA))
shall [in the life to come] have mansions raised upon mansionsshall [in the life to come] have mansions raised upon mansions
high, beneath which running waters flow: [this is] Allah’s promise -high, beneath which running waters flow: [this is] Allah’s promise -
[and] never does Allah fail to fulfil His promise.”[and] never does Allah fail to fulfil His promise.”

“ART THOU NOT aware that it is Allah who sends
down water from the skies, and then causes it to
travel through the earth in the shape of springs? And
then He brings forth thereby herbage of various hues;
and then it withers, and thou canst see it turn yellow;
and in the end He causes it to crumble to dust.
Verily, in [all] this there is indeed a reminder to those
who are endowed with insight! (ULUL-AL-BAB)!”
(Qur’an: Az-Zumar: 39: 21)

““O Allah! Make us see the Truth to be true and grantO Allah! Make us see the Truth to be true and grant
us the ability to follow it.us the ability to follow it.
And make us see Falsehood to be false and grant usAnd make us see Falsehood to be false and grant us

O our Lord! Make us to benefit from what You have taught us.O our Lord! Make us to benefit from what You have taught us.
O Lord! Teach us whatever that is beneficial for us.

O Allah! Make us to be people who guide (others) and whoO Allah! Make us to be people who guide (others) and who
are (always) Guided (by Your Guidance)are (always) Guided (by Your Guidance) ..

Not of those who are astray andNot of those who are astray and
who lead people astray.who lead people astray.

O Allah! Guide us allO Allah! Guide us all
with Your Guidance.with Your Guidance.

And make us people who hasten towards whatAnd make us people who hasten towards what
pleases You.pleases You.

And do not let us be protected (by others) except only withAnd do not let us be protected (by others) except only with
Your Protection (as our Guardian).Your Protection (as our Guardian).

And do not make us to be of those who differ from YourAnd do not make us to be of those who differ from Your
command and who are disobedient towards You.command and who are disobedient towards You.

And sufficient is Allah for us,And sufficient is Allah for us,
for He is the Best Protectorfor He is the Best Protector

And there is no power nor strength exceptAnd there is no power nor strength except
with Allah The Most High, the Most Esteem.with Allah The Most High, the Most Esteem.
