1. Our photo shoot/ studio images
We had a clear image/idea of what we wanted to achieve when taking our studio
images of our artist, Leaping Tiger.
We liked the idea of using different coloured lighting to create a neon like effect.
Some artist we used for inspiration on this front include:
Childish Gambino:
Blood Orange (Dev Hynes): Flying Lotus:
To achieve this we used special ‘gels’, which are a thicker version of coloured
cellophane, we could not use cellophane, as the heat of the lights would’ve
burned straight through them.
We like these studio images the best because of the general aesthetic of them.
Jacob/Leaping Tiger has interesting shadows cast upon him, and the variation of
light creates a point of interest, and makes them unique to most typical studio
shots. We also believe that the result does reflect images of these artists
mentioned above, showing that we achieved what we set out to do.
