is distinguished by moving us deeply.
an expression of a vision that is rendered in a form intelligible and pleasurable to others and so likely to arouse kindred emotions. ZAK - SASER 2010
Uses words, pictures, to build sensory impressions and create images Plays with the sounds of words and rhythms of phrases Characteristics of a poem Usually intended to be read aloud Compresses ideas Meant to reveal the poet’s feelings Tells about ordinary events May stir up readers’ feelings ZAK - SASER 2010
Limericks ,[object Object]
 five lines. Lines 1, 2, & 5 -  7 to 10 syllables and rhyme with one another.
 Lines 3 & 4 - 5 to 7 syllables & also rhyme with each other.
