Description: With great solemnity these dances are celebrated to pay
homage to Our Lady of the Candlemas, the devotees of the virgin show off
colorful costumes: pants "bloomers" of different colors, jackets with
beautiful embroideries, thick cloth belts, ornate lace layers with sequins or
shiny paper. In the head they wear wide hats richly decorated. The dance of
the candelaria is constituted by 10 parts: Parade, Dance, Coplas, Weaving,
Encierro del Chivo, Roza, Burning, Sowing, Aporco and Final parade.

Description: Summer solstice party that takes place especially in the east,
center and west of the country. It consists in the veneration of the Holy
Cross; They decorate it with flowers and garlands, pray and sing coplas. This
manifestation suffers variations in terms of music and other elements,
according to the region.

Place: San Francisco de Yare (Miranda), Patanemo (Carabobo), Chuao
(Aragua), Naiguatá (Vargas).
Description: Folk festival that takes place on Thursdays of Corpus Christi. It
consists of the payment of promises by the faithful to the body of Jesus
Christ, carrying out a procession and dance around the town square, in front
of the church, dressed in devils. They have certain differences in terms of
costumes, musical instruments and other elements, depending on the
locality.

Description: At the Sanctuary of El Carrizal, in the Municipality of Colina, the
celebration begins with a walk that departs from the Fair Park in Coro at 3:00
a.m., and the festivities continue throughout the day.

10. Description: Beautiful tradition that is celebrated on the night of 24. The
Pastors with their party go out to walk the streets of San Joaquin in the
direction of the church, singing, dancing and making figures. They enter the
temple guided by the Estrellero, and sit on the floor pretending to be asleep.
At the end of the Mass of Rooster an Angel appears announcing the birth of
the Child Jesus. Then the Pastors begin to sing and make offerings to the
Child, then go out to the square to perform their dances.

Description: The party of Los Zaragozas belongs to that celebration of wide
dispersion in the Andean states known as locos and locainas, which, for
some reason, in Sanare and Guárico acquired its own name. It is celebrated
every 28th of December, when the Church commemorates the Day of the
Holy Innocents in remembrance of the collective murder of children, ordered
by Herod, the failed intention to eliminate the Child-God. For popular
