- First off, let’s talk about what positive politics is and what it isn’t. It is : Having practical wisdom Being prudent, shrewd, & diplomatic Being expedient as a plan of action Process of gaining support When you see people who do these things well, we don’t call them political, we call them shrewd or smart, savvy, but most of all… we say they are people who know how to get things done. What we aren’t talking about are the schemers, back-stabbers, and opportunists. We really are talking about people who have the organization’s goals at heart more than personal power attainment.
